Capri on Pilot Bay

Amazing apartment with great views and a quiet complex. We had a bonus lock up garage with our apartment which we hadn’t expected! Check in was easy with the host texting me details for a lockbox as they were not there on arrival. Apartment exceeded our expectations. Was clean, bright and light and had everything you would need. I actually thought that I could live there!! Only downfall was limited milk, sugar and tea bags (we drink a bit of tea) and the apartment info said we could ‘purchase’ more from reception. Not a huge deal and next time we book I will just bring my own. We will definitely be booking again. It wasn’t the cheapest place but, considering the high standard of the apartment and bonus garaging, we believe it was value for money.

I came to Mt Manganui for 4 days of relaxation and I achieved that goal. My 2 bedroom apartment overlooked the pool and was meticulously clean, spacious and well appointed. In fact, I would go so far to say that it was one of the best appointed apartments I have stayed in within NZ. It's these little details like power plugs in the right place or nice homewares that add value. It was peaceful and quiet which I loved, and the bed was incredible and I slept like a baby. The apartment is about 150 metres away from a bus stop that will take you into the Tauranga or to Bayview. This means you can easily get around Tauranga or Bayview for $1. There are some nearby cafes and a small suprette which is convenient. The apartment complex is actually set back from the road a little which means you do not get the noise from motor vehicles cruising the waterfront. This apartment will be my "go to" for Mt Manganui.

Fabulous 2 bed apartment. Immaculately clean. Terrific location, Right on Pilot Beach & 3 min walk to Mt Maunganui beach. Zero traffic noise because it is behind buildings that block any road noise. 2 blocks from all the shops & cafes. Couldnt be better for location Manager was excellent. Highly recommend and will be back

A wonderful stay. We had a 2 bed apartment, with views along the drive to the bay. Everything was extremely clean, a well equipped kitchen, and very good aircon in the lounge. We also had a garage allocated. Location is excellent, with the bay across the road from the hotel, a two minute stroll to the Pacific, and several cafes just around the corner. About 10 minutes walk to the main shopping/dining area with plenty of restaurants if you want to eat out. The only minor disappointment was the pool, which is a lot smaller than the photo suggests, and is shared with the apartments behind. That said, we would have no hesitation in stopping here again, or recommending to amyone else.

Highly recommend and will stay again. Apartment 27 was clean, smelled fresh, well stocked kitchen utensils and had a perfect layout. Great to have onsite parking. Plush carpet and availability of a heat pump and electric blanket were a huge plus- especially on the cold rainy nights we had. Great location- close to both beach and harbour. Nothing could be faulted.

These are relatively new apartments, clean, tidy and comfortable. However they are not quite set up for hotelling and not really on the harbour-front as the ads might suggest. The “great views” are glimpses of the Mt between the other apartment towers surrounding Capri which is set quite a bit back from the harbour front road, and no sign of the harbour. Amenities were basic and the bedroom too small to open a suitcase so our cases were out in the small lounge area. The host is very friendly and internet is easy and fast.
