Verandah House Country Estate

Absolutely loved our romantic weekend away staying at the beautiful Verandah House Country Estate. Judy and Laurie the owners and their staff made us feel very welcome. Our terrace accomodation was beautifully designed and very comfortable. There is a lovely log fire which we used each evening and were even allowed to use their scented candles. Breakfast is beautifully put together in a takeaway box and there is plenty of good quality food to eat. We explored the grounds of the estate, and there are numerous places to sit and take in the spectacular view overlooking Mount Warning and surrounds. If you remember to bring your swimmers ( we didn’t) there’s an outdoor pool, sauna and hot tub. Although we didn’t try it, there is a day spa onsite. Additionally, the owners have built a beautiful barn on the property, and is very tastefully decorated. Thank you Judy & Laurie for a wonderful couple of nights away, we will definitely return

Wow what an amazing visit. Arrived here off a 24hr transit from UK. We needed a rest and recovery. Judy and Lawrence gave us a great welcome. Rooms are stylish, clean and comfortable. The ambiance is great and views stunning. We also used the spa for massage and facial - excellent. There is only breakfast provided and no restaurant on site. However, lots of options within 10mins drive. Also they have a pantry with a grill, fridge/freezer so you can d-i-y meals. There is also the barn for home dining, great location and facilities to bring in a takeaway etc. You can also sit by the firepit and eat, with views down to the Gold Coast. We liked it so much that we extended our initial stay and rearranged our schedule to come back next month.

Just everything. Amazing amazing. Clean, stunning, homely, amazing owners, incredible views, delicious breakfast included the whole experience was exactly what we wanted and needed for our baby moon.

We will definetely visit again!!!!

I would love to be able to give this property 5 stars based on the fact that it’s in a beautiful location and the hostess was lovely and hospitable but I really wouldn’t be being honest based on my experience. I can only base my review on the room that we stayed in which I feel for the price was substandard and my experience. The room needs a lot of maintenance as well as updating, it’s what can only be described as shabby. The taps on the kitchen sink and the bathroom basin didn’t work properly with the kitchen tap spraying water everywhere each time you turned it on and the very old bathroom taps being very hard to turn off and constantly dripping after turning them off every time you used them. There were broken/cracked tiles on the bathroom floor and each time we went in there we felt like the floor was going to give way. The worst thing though was that the room that we stayed in was underneath another bigger apartment and the noise from above was very loud; you could hear every footstep, drawer or door opening from above but the worst thing was when the people were on the veranda and there were some very loud ladies staying there for the first two nights which kind of ruined what I expected to be a quiet and peaceful environment. On a positive note the views from the property are absolutely beautiful on a clear day.

Kirsten and Kevin welcomed us and explained the history of the resort as well as the sad news that they were forced to sell the business due to the Covid effect. Magnificent views and hospitality. If they had not sold the place I would gladly recommend it to anyone visiting Mt Tamborine.

We stayed in the Cottage which was great, 3 bedrooms, full kitchen etc. Great veranda with 2 outdoor dining tables . Due to the weather didn't use these or get to appreciate the great views that we knew from previous visits. This was our 3rd visit and we will be back.

Took up special Seniors package for 4 nights .Kristen and her staff made us feel welcome. Very clean and comfortable.The property has be sold and will close at Christmas.Brekky supplies, bacon-eggs-bread plentifull.Bush walks and activities short drive away.Quiet and peacefull-views lovely on clear day.Plenty of board games and books to borrow in wet weather.
