We arrived during a tornado warning and pouring rain. Katie checked us in and offered us a glass of wine which was perfect for waiting out the storm. It was easy to find our room and the parking lot was nearby. The beds and pillows are very comfortable. My husband has some mobility issues and cannot safely step into a bathtub. The shower in our room was perfect because he only needed to step over a 6 inch lip of the shower base (this has been a problem in well-known hotel chains). The breakfast offerings are made to order - and there is a wide assortment of fruits and breads if you don't want any of the made-to-order menu options. Getting from your room to the main building where you will check-in/out and have breakfast takes you through a lush garden. And it was only a 15 minute drive to Apple Valley where we were visiting family. I highly recommend The Mount Vernon Inn!

We were sure glad we found this place to spend the night while in the area. The original house is well taken care of. Beautiful. We stayed in the L shaped motel built in the side yard back in the 50’s. Our room was huge with two beds an a sofa. The beds were comfortable. We enjoyed our stay. The breakfast in the morning (served in dining room of main house) was very good. I highly recommend staying here if you are in the area an love history.

Very comfortable room, nice shower, beautiful garden pathways, outstanding breakfast with many hot menu choices and fruits and pastry, great coffee, complementary wine in the evening, and friendly staff. We had a wonderful stay. This is one of the best B&B’s we have visited.

The Mount Vernon Inn far exceeded our expectations. A wonderful place. We loved our stay. The staff couldn't be more friendly and kind. We may plan another trip to Mount Vernon just so we have a reason to stay here again. Plenty of off-street parking which is always nice.

Adorable little B&B we stayed at for a nearby wedding. Lovely garden area for socializing or relaxing, incredibly friendly staff, and great breakfast in the morning.

This is a really really nice and quaint hotel in this area of Ohio. Town has a lot of old school style, and that’s reflected at this establishment. Rooms are from the past and some degree, but very clean, quiet, and sound. Breakfast and staff and overall atmosphere very very pleasing. I would stay there again.

Our second stay in 2 months! Rooms are older and small, but very quiet and comfy! Wonderful patio tables with ceiling fans on outside garden areas. Breakfast is the best with full service waitress and many selections in a beautiful formal dining room within the old Inn itself. Price reasonable and breakfast experience is included in reservation cost! Love this quaint Inn!
