This was our 4th visit to the Manar. We have have stayed when it was a Holiday Village, as a Magic Hotel and it has now rebranded as TUI Blue. We stay as a family with 2 kids and my older parents. We had 2 kids den (quadruple) main building rooms. The hotel has been freshened up since last year and the rooms were freshly painted, very clean on arrival and kept clean throughout. Sheets changed several times. There is a minibar in the room and water and milk are provided. Soft drinks and beer could be provided at extra cost but we just fetched from the bar as needed. The coffees and hot chocolate from the main bar were great. Fruit plates and nuts are brought to the room in various days. The food this year was excellent- definitely revamped and stepped up since last year. Lots of fresh grilled meat and fish, a kids selection, great desserts and fresh fruit. Breakfast included plenty of fresh cooked options. The snack bar and sandwich bar during the day were great and the Baia a la carte was a superb meal, with upgraded wine and lovely service. Service in the main restaurant from Helmi was excellent as always. The new cocktail menu included some nice options and the payable cocktails were a nice treat from time to time. Beer wine and spirits on all inclusive were good. My kids (7 and 11) both loved the kids club and the TUI staff doing that, the activities and the mini disco were lovely friendly people. We didn’t stay up for the evening entertainment so can’t comment. There was live music at the pool in the afternoons, some better than others. Having the TUI Blue guides in the hotel every day made sure that any small issues (a problem with air con, booking a table) were dealt with so quickly and easily. Nora and Safa were so helpful. The Spa team is excellent with a wonderful Ayurvedic massage costing £50. There is no hard sell from the Spa staff but they will help you find the right package for you. I would definitely recommend as it made for a wonderful holiday relaxation treat. The kids loved the high ropes and my eldest was able to do parascending on the beach which he loved. The rebrand has made the vibe of the hotel feel a bit more up market than previous years and the staff are clearly under high expectations from TUI to meet the brand requirements. They all go above and beyond to Make your holiday the best it can be. I hope TUI recognise that the staff at Manar are their greatest asset.
