Vanuit dit hotel is veel te bereiken op loopafstand. Gunstig dus. Wellicht goed voor diegene die aankomen om bij de rotonde al een bord te plaatsen met de naam van het hotel. Het hotel zelf is best trendy, heel en schoon te noemen. De receptie is 24 uur open. De bar stelt niet veel voor. Dat is jammer. De combinatie van receptionist en bediening van de bar is ook niet handig. De kamer is schoon en netjes. Wat ontbreekt zijn glazen en de dekbedden zijn synthetisch en dus veel te warm. Een betere instructie voor de airco/klimaat zou ook handig zijn. Van de info op tv word ik ook niet veel wijzer. Tijdens slapen het raam openlaten betekent veel lawaai vanaf de straat. Verder een prima basic kamer. Het ontbijt goed uitgebreid en helemaal niets mis mee. Parkeren binnen de hekken kost 10 euro per dag onnodig en niet klantvriendelijk. Voor een kort bezoek aan Oberhausen is dit een prima alternatief.

The building is nicely furnished. It looks like a breeding plant. The entrance area is depressing, no attractive furniture or other furniture that give a guest even minimally the impression and feeling of being in a hotel. The mattress (at least in my room) is over, the room was rather modest. The bathroom and the room were clean. The walls are bright and I must say the room neighbors had a satisfactory evening or a satisfactory night. The price of € 70 for one night to the second is rather too high for this ”hotel” but experiences cost money.

The front desk closed at 22 o'clock. I didn't see this message on Ctrip. When I waited, the person in charge of the hotel had already driven away and was about to leave. When he saw us coming, he came out angrily and scolded us. Fortunately, we were able to successfully stay later. Got off
The room is small, but the bed and TV are quite big. There is a student apartment opposite. You can see clearly from their room, so it is recommended to close the curtains.
The biggest drawback is that the sound insulation of the door is extremely poor. It is almost as if there is no door. You can clearly hear the opening and closing of the door in the next room, and even the sound of the TV and alarm clock. In the morning, the sound of the cleaners making phone calls in the corridor is just like... It's like it's right in my room, so scary
The pillows are very flat and uncomfortable. The bed is okay. The shower space is a bit small. People with taller bodies may find it more uncomfortable.
The service was pretty good when checking out (maybe it was because of a different person)

The hotel is just a few minutes from the Philharmonie U-Bahn station or just a 15 minute walk from the main station and hence very nicely located. The staff are very professional and gave me a good welcome. The room was very well-kept and for the price, a good size. Excellent WiFi coverage at good connectivity speeds. Overall, a very nice stay in a very nice hotel.

The Mercure Duisburg City is easy to reach by car. A municipal underground car park is located under the hotel (€12/day). The hotel makes a good first impression. Our room was large and well furnished. The bathroom is very nice and there is also a free hotel safe. The breakfast buffet offered a large selection and left nothing to be desired, apart from the fact that there were no plates from time to time, the coffee machine regularly broke down and scrambled eggs were only available sporadically. Since our double room was initially only for one person (a blanket and towels once) was improved after complaining to the front desk. The grief then on the second day: the rooms and beds are no longer made in this house due to a corona-related lack of staff. Complaints at the front desk pointless. Two nights with breakfast in a double room for € 186 are completely covered in this case. I will not stay here again!

Excellent hotel, greatly located just next to Duisburg Main Station. Modern, calm, close to public transportation. Hotel security is excellent, access is controlled 24 hours, facility accessible only for hotel guests. The team is very attentive, professional, efficient and well trained. Room size is bigger than standard for same hotel category. The hotel is very clean, both the public areas and the room. Bathroom modern and well equipped. I will definitely stay there again next time in the area. Definitely with my recommendations.

This is at best an Ibis-equivalent hotel. The receptionist even called it a motel. The room is small and poorly equipped. There is no coffee-machine although there is a kettle. One of the cups still had the last person's coffee rim stain. There is no air-conditioning, no fans available and it is hot and airless. The window can be opened but only if you are prepared to leave the curtains open and be in full view of people visiting the Mcdonalds opposite. The road noise is not great either. The restaurant is closed, but I was offered a microwaved mini pizza! If you must stay in a Mercure in the area, go to the Mercure City Nord in Düsseldorf.

Het hotel is top. Vriendelijk personeel. Mooie kamer. Badkamer is ook goed en mooi. Over het restaurant ben ik wat minder te spreken. Hamburger met friet en een salade. Hamburger was prima. Friet veel te zout. Niet te eten. Ze komen wel vragen of alles goed is maar ze doen er niks mee. Salade zat een onduidelijke rode saus op. Friet en salade moet je apart bestellen. Waarschijnlijk durft men niet op de kaart te zetten dat dit samen €27.50 kost.

I wanted to book my third visit to this hotel Unfortunately I contacted them by phone and by mail to make a booking. But... The first time by phone they asked me to call another time as they were busy. The second time, the second day, they told me that they already told me that they are busy to take my reservation and I need to send my request by mail. The mail was not answered So the third day I called and they told me that they will check my email when they are less busy. I didn't want to bother them further as they most probably are still busy doing anything else than taking care of their customers. Good luck if you want to book there and you have the same staff to handle your request. Jacques

MMichel1969At my request, I had received a ”room on a high floor”, and that was a great choice: I had room 42, the only room on the fourth (and the highest) floor. The room is, in my view, the largest in the entire hotel's surface area, and it consists in fact of several rooms (sleep area, bathroom, toilet) on the whole fourth floor, with a balcony. All was in a good condition: hygienic clean, without damage, spacious shower cell, etc. HOW: there is a turning side, important for people who are less good at the legs, and/or have heavy baggage with them! There is no lift in the hotel, so room 42 requires a few steps to walk ... In the current corona conditions, it all goes something different from the usual, of course: In the entire hotel (in public spaces, e.g. at the reception or in the staircase) a mouthpiece must be carried, and breakfast must be requested in advance by means of a form (what kinds of bread, what drinks, what bread ink, etc.). But then it works very practical in the morning: you register (at the time you want and indicated) in the breakfast room, you get a table assigned, and you get the ordered breakfast served at the table.

BBrigitte HBecause of the very good transport connections, we chose the Minsu Hotel. Also because the paths to the center and to the hotel were very short and cheap. We were very satisfied with the room, the equipment, the fresh breakfast with the great fruit salad (and it was asked for breakfast as we wished), the room service and all the staff. We were welcomed friendly and warmly. The hotel is very recommendable and we are also happy to come back. The room with balcony has very well enjoyed.
