Blackbird Luxury Accommodation

Loved this beautiful, relaxing little gem from the moment we arrived. Greeted by the lovely Victoria, champagne on arrival and then to find out we were to have the whole place to ourselves... amazing and very special. The beautiful food prepared by Seb, the view, solitude, magnesium pool, sauna, birdlife, seriously what more could we say... PERFECT in every way!!

What more can I say... From arrival greeted by the lovely Victoria to our personally cooked dinner by Chef Martyn.. The whole experience was just what we needed... beautifully calm accomodation pods all situated for privacy... fabulous breakfast served each morning.. truly our best short break ever.. Oh and that pool and view just wonderful

What an amazing little getaway.. if your after a nice place to reset and leave the “hustle” behind then this place is your answer.. Just relax and enjoy the peaceful ambiance that is on offer. The journey starts with a warm welcome and orientation with Victoria, whilst you settle in and leave the real world problems behind. Our highlights included the private dinners created by chef Catie.. amazing flavors and hassle free dining. Thank you for having us.. Amazing property and lovely hosts.

It is hard to do justice in a few short sentences to the unique experience that awaits guests at Blackbird. It is a very, very special place. Blackbird has just five immaculately decorated en-suite lodges. With a vista across vast swathes of woodland and sweeping valleys largely untouched by humans since the dawn of time, the views across Mullumbimby Creek and down to Byron Bay some 25km away are genuinely breathtaking. Those views come with a soundtrack from nature to make the soul soar - black cockatoos from which it gets its name, whipbirds, cicada and a myriad of other strange but wonderful bird song. The food is fantastic at breakfast and dinner, while a well stocked honesty bar serves to help avoid the steep drive down to Mullum. A huge thank you to manager Victoria for helping make our first visit to Australia such a special one. Her warmth and hospitality are as natural are an integral part of the Blackbird experience and as natural as the stunning scenery that surrounds it. Small but perfectly formed,. Blackbird is a real gem that will make an indelible impression on you as it lets you breath deeply and connect. Blackbird is the polar opposite of the normal commoditised, depersonalised, big corporate hotel experience - and all the better for it. We feel genuinely lucky to have stayed at somewhere so special.

Superb. Victoria is a wonderful host and made us the most incredible vegan breakfasts with fresh vegetables and mushrooms. The pool is heaven, the atmosphere very comfortable and chill, the view magical. We also enjoyed a delicious plant based dine in dinner of locally sourced vegetables.

We have just returned from a two night stay at Blackbird Byron. It was beautiful! The view from our room was amazing, and even though the weather was rubbish (and we missed the gorgeous sunrise), we still enjoyed our time relaxing in this gorgeous setting. We were met on arrival by Victoria, who couldn’t have been more welcoming. Our breakfast each morning was delicious too. We just loved everything about this place. 10/10

We were treated with great service. The surroundings were gorgeous and the apartment had many thoughtful details included. We felt instantly unwound from the bustle of the city. Highly recommend ordering the degustation and evening meals. Absolutely Delicious.

It was the perfect place for my girlfriend and I just to unwind and spend time whilst enjoying the stunning views of Bryon Bay and it’s surroundings. The rustic recycled look of the pavilions and the artful decor added to the charm and luxurious feel of the place. Vicki was warm and welcoming and we enjoyed the fresh, nutritious and delicious meals by her and her team. The tranquil ambiance of Blackbird and the beauty of nature around it made our stay so blissfully relaxing and we felt so refreshed although we were only there for 2 days.
