We loved our brief stay at the Catalonia, it was my partner's birthday and they provided a complimentary bottle of Cava and brought it to our room. It was a real classy touch... The pool was small, but a perfect spot to soak up the sun and enjoy the chilled atmosphere. The staff were extremely helpful and polite. The room was spotless and we would highly recommend staying here.

Overall, it was good 👍 The environment, bedding, and cleanliness were all great.
However, there was an incident that made me feel the hotel was judgmental, and I wasn't very satisfied:
I booked the hotel through Trip.com and specifically noted that I was traveling alone and needed a king-size bed.
But when I checked in, they gave me a dark room with two single beds.
I went to the front desk to ask for a king-size bed, and the hotel staff actually told me that there were no king-size rooms available that day, and that I might have to pay extra to switch?
Of course, I didn't agree. I told them that I had stated my request on the platform when I booked in advance. If they couldn't switch it, I would contact the platform.
The front desk called the manager, and it was resolved in 15 minutes.
Later, I contacted Trip.com customer service to ask if they had passed on my special request to the hotel, and Trip.com confirmed they had. Also, the price for a king-size bed and a twin room was the same when I booked, and I had specifically requested a king-size bed.

We stayed overnight to go to see a concert at the Bullring. This was the perfect location to stay. A 13 minute gentle walk to the venue. But best of all our sleep was undisturbed by any noise from noisy guests in the corridors or outside on the street. The beds were so lovely and comfortable. There was a kettle in the room for a cup of tea in bed. A small, but lovely pool with free pool towels and great cava and piña coladas. 🍾🥂🍹We had a great stay and I would definitely, definitely book again for the next concert.

The room was very clean, and the bathroom was huge. Just like the photos. It shows that it has been renovated recently and with good taste. It is about 10 minutes from the center. They offered us a few glasses of cava upon arrival as a welcome, a detail that we appreciated. I would repeat again
