Everything is tip-top, but is starting to show its age. A renovation wouldn't hurt.
The lift, bathrooms, and dining area are from the last millennium.
But the food, location, and service are great

Staff were super friendly and went above and beyond. The accommodation had good buffet breakfast options. The room was also clean and served our needs for a winter holiday. Can highly recommend!

Disappointing: minimum service. Hotel 15 minutes from the station but the road is snowy so very difficult with a suitcase. In Switzerland, many SBB hotels offer to drop off your suitcases. The hotel did not offer, either on arrival or departure, a possibility with a trolley or small cart as other hotels offer. The service is minimal, with little advice on hiking, activities or tourist offerings. There is a sauna: the reception does not offer it or the reservation possibilities. It offers you the restaurant only. The restaurant is OK, the service staff very professional and pleasant (the restaurant is better than the hotel) Last point: a sound of water leaking - I reported it in the morning but the night was not pleasant (drop dripping intermittently) Nice room but like many hotels in the Oberland (wooden chalet - finishing little better - average bathroom, low comfort and very old, not pretty) - Too expensive for the quality - comfort and availability.

Magical stay in Murren, Switzerland as newlywed couple. We stayed in this property for 3 days and 2 nights; February 10-12. We deliberately chose Murren as our base in exploring the nearby villages in Jungfrau region. It was winter time when we went there and we experienced snow. It was so magical. The backdrop of our room view is the well admired- Eiger mountain. Pros: 1. 5 minute walk from Murren cable car station. Lauterbrunnen (bus)-Stechelberg (cable car) -Gimmelwald (cable car)- Murren. Nothing to worry with this one it is convenient. 2. Giving a typical Swiss house experience with the view surely worth the memory lane 3. Great food served by restaurants, we dined on our first night. Cons: 1. No 24-hr reception staff 2. Combined single beds and uncomfortable though combined as one Overall still, 10/10.

The staff was as helpful and kind as possible. They were exceedingly friendly. It was helpful that the restaurant was open since I prefer to travel during slightly off peak seasons to avoid crowds. The food at the restaurant was excellent. Since many restaurants in the area were closed I had to eat here numerous times. Each time the food was good and I tried something new every day. The outside balcony had a much better view of the mountains than I expected. It was my first time in the country so I feel like I got lucky with this hotel. The view was so nice I was ok when I just stayed in the hotel. The breakfast was clean and organized. The setting was nice and calm. However, the staff made the hotel great. Everyone had a positive attitude.
