Mia SeePark Hotel Murten

I recently stayed at Seapark Hotel in Murten and had a rather mixed experience. While there were some positive aspects, there were also several disappointing factors that affected my overall stay. On the positive side, I was quite pleased with the efficient air conditioning system in the room. It provided much-needed relief during the hot days. Additionally, I found the family running the hotel to be friendly and welcoming, including their lovely children who added a warm touch to the atmosphere. However, there were several significant issues that marred my stay. Firstly, I arrived at the hotel after approximately 7:00 pm, only to find that the reception was unattended. This meant there was no one available to assist with the check-in process, leaving me feeling quite frustrated and lost. Furthermore, the lack of a bar or restaurant on the premises was a major drawback. This meant that aside from breakfast, there were no food or drink options available at the hotel. Speaking of breakfast, I found it to be quite disappointing. The selection was limited, and there was a notable absence of cooked items, which is certainly not 4*. I had booked a Queen room but was allocated a twin room instead. This was quite inconvenient, as it did not align with my reservation and I couldn't sleep a wink . There was no water provided in the rooms, which I believe is a basic necessity that should not be overlooked and a major issue when the hotel is unmanned after 7pm and no bar restaurant open. There isnt even a vending machine. Ive been to better 1* BnB's

The hotel is run by the most loving and serviceminded family. They rescheduled breakfast to start at 6 o'clock (normal is 7-10) to help with our early show for work without hessitation. Helped us with knifes, plates etc. for a late tapas on the rooftop terrasse - which by the way has the most amazing view over Murtensee and is well equiped with sunbeds and lounge furnitures for around 30 people. The hotel itself is clean, modern and has a great breakfast. Without doubt the best hotel i the town of Murten.

Exceptionally clean room and very friendly staff. Breakfast was also wonderful and the decor is lovely. The restaurant was not open but Le Jardin just around the corner serves a nice dinner. Highly recommend the Seepark Hotel if ever you are in Murten.
