Wonderful stay at O&O Gorilla’s Nest! We had a standard room but there’s absolutely nothing standard about anything at this property. This is pure luxury all the way. The room was spacious and had every amenity you could want. Laundry service is included, you just have to call and ask whenever you need it. The small bar in our room was well stocked with drinks and snacks. Rooms are private and quiet. Great water pressure in the shower as well. The grounds are gorgeous and well-maintained. The staff is friendly and eager to make you feel at home. The food is plentiful and delicious. We had lunch in the garden one day which was super nice. The bartenders know how to make every drink and have concocted some refreshments of their own. I had a wonderful massage at the spa, much needed after a 5hour gorilla trek, as was the heated pool. Another nice service after trekking was how a staff member will meet you at your vehicle, removed your shoes & socks, gave you some flip flops, and then took everything to be cleaned. They had them back in our room by the time we got back from dinner. The hotel provides you with backpacks, gaiters, ponchos, hats, and a snack (really more of a lunch) for trekking. (Walking sticks are provided by your guide when you get to the beginning of the trail. Bring your own gloves). Props to the awesome dancers and drummers at the hotel who welcome you each time you enter the property and put on a nice performance by the fire pit before dinner as well. We absolutely recommend this property and Rwanda in general. Impressive what the people have built together just 30 years after all that heartbreak. Loved it all! Thank you, Rwanda.
