Carberry Tower Mansion House and Estate

Beautiful hotel and estate grounds, with nice walks to explore. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. The bar is cozy with good drinks selection. Dinner and breakfast were both tasty with huge portions! We stayed for one night in a twin room. Our room was clean but a bit small, more space between the two beds would of been good. The bathroom was clean and a good size with a good hot shower.

Such an interesting place to stay. We loved its history and its setting. Dinner in the bistro was fab and really good value. We will definitely return.

The property was in need of cleaning and updating

We stayed for 2 nights to see in the new year in Edinburg. The staff at Carberry were amazing, special thanks to Lee who made us our own cocktail. The hotel is outstanding, food amazing and can’t wait to stay again.

This was our first (and last) visit to Carberry Tower. We were enroute to the north so thankfully only stayed one night. On the plus side, the building exterior and grounds are very impressive. Unfortunately once inside it’s immediately obvious the property is rundown and actually quite grubby. Our “classic” room was little more than a cupboard with a bed inside and the tiniest of bathrooms. The window didn’t close properly and had no blinds or curtains, only an ill fitting shutter that did nothing to prevent the cold draught coming into the room. To make things worse the radiator wasn’t working so the room was like an icebox. By the evening we had to go to reception and ask for something to be done. Fortunately the lady in attendance, who was the only pleasant member of staff we encountered, moved us to another room, which was much better. The food at dinner and breakfast was very poor quality and service even worse - no engagement with any of the staff who all seemed disinterested in their work.
