Considering the accommodation costs, you can enjoy this kind of hot spring, so it feels like it comes with a ”bonus”. I think it's a sufficient level to think so. For those who want to eat in a calm space or want to eat sophisticated dishes, we recommend a course without meals. Because it is like a hotel in the whole peninsula, it is close to the front desk and the main building near the forgotten cave, or it is close to Genbu cave, but there is a distance to the cherry blossom building far from the hotel entrance. The view from the main building is the quiet inland sea, and the view from the Nagisakan and the Sanchokan has a unique personality on the Pacific side. I want to go again １０ years later.

The room in the Japanese style room is not new, but the view was large and relaxed. The dishes were more delicious than I expected for evening breakfast. The volume was also full. I was glad that it was not a yukata but a room dress or a disposable slipper, not a vinyl slipper. The card attached to the slipper in the public bath is unkind. Why is it broken?

Pals Inn, I really feel that although the facilities are general, the service and location are very satisfying. When we went, it was just the strong typhoon that faced the next day. The front desk uncle, although not very good at English, was very nice to answer questions. In front of the hotel is Nazhi Beach, and then take a little road is Nazhi JR Station, where there is a bus of Kumano, convenient to play Kumano Ancient Road, Nachi Waterfall... World Natural Heritage. In particular, you can go to the sister hotel (Katsuura Royal Garden) with hot springs. (Because the hot springs are hot, the wind is coming from behind, and the hotel also specially sends us a car to return to the Pals Inn, where the service is first class.) Only cash is accepted, which is not convenient. The location is okay, the public transportation from Kii Katsuura to Daimonzaka and Nachi Beach is fairly convenient. There is a FamilyMart convenience store diagonally across the street. There is not much food and the environment is very comfortable. We ordered dinner included, which was quite rich and used to eating. Breakfast was more difficult to eat. The eggs were raw. And there are also time limits for breakfast and dinner. Bathing time is limited. Bathrobes and towels are charged separately, about 200 yen each. The service attitude of the hotel staff is very good, although the language is not good, only a little English. Hot water is provided in the hotel lobby. The room door is not soundproof. The overall external environment is suitable for leisure and vacation, but internally, considering various restrictions, it will not be chosen in the future.

My husband and I spent two nights at Nakanoshima and were exceedingly pleased with the experience. It's about a 4 hour ride on a limited express train from Nagoya to Kii-Katsuura, but it's a scenic and pleasant trip. The day we arrived, the first boat to the island wasn't scheduled until 1:30 pm, so a driver met us at the station to collect our luggage (pre-arranged in advance), and since it was raining quite heavily, he then drove us to a nearby pier with a food court and pointed out where to find the boat. We enjoyed terrific sushi at a small counter and then hopped the boat to the island where the ryokan is located. The rain had stopped by then and the brief boat ride was a serene experience. The public spaces are beautiful and they leave out complimentary treats for guests to enjoy, like ice cream pops. We booked a standard room with a sea view and were astounded by the gorgeous view of the bay. The room was spacious and comfortable with plenty of storage, a sitting area with a view and a large bathroom with a separate toilet stall and a shower room with a small tub (not an onsen). Everyone we met was very attentive, kind and helpful. The food at breakfast and dinner was delicious and beautifully presented. We booked a private onsen twice for a reasonable fee. It includes both indoor and outdoor onsens with sea views and a well-equipped changing area. The first evening we went after dinner and watched a spectacular lightning display from the outdoor tub. We booked the boat and a taxi the following morning to visit Nachi Falls and the forest and temples along the Daimonzaka walking trail (a small section of the Kumano Kodo trail). Nakanoshima is a terrific base from which to explore this very scenic area of Japan and a lovely destination on its own if you want to relax and enjoy the hot springs and amenities.

Using each coupon of Katsuura Discount, Wakayama Discount, and Jalan, and adding Jalan points, it was 40 yen (excluding bath tax) for 2 people per night. I stayed for 2 nights. Just across from Kiyoshiura jr, you need to cross the street flyover. Next to the jr station is the Kiyoshiura bus station. It is less than 5 minutes from the hotel to the bus station. The location is particularly convenient. The breakfast is very rich, Japanese style, grilled fish, rice, miso soup, side dishes. It is also very close to the sea. A 30-minute drive from Kiyoshiura to Nachi. The accommodation is very clean, there is no separate bathroom, but there is a separate sink, which is also convenient. The boss is very good!

Après avoir aimé et arpenté de nombreuses contrées en Asie comme dans plus de 100 pays de ce vaste monde en soixante ans, j’ai vécu en cet endroit la cinquième étape de mon second voyage au Japon trop longtemps reporté cause Covid et bien trop marquant pour ne pas avoir envie d’y retourner… Professionnel du voyage, auteur de guides touristiques basé au Maroc, j’ai découvert ce superbe «Ryokan», ses bains d’eau sulfureuse et chaude à souhait, ses prestations et service, comme son exceptionnel rapport qualité/prix dans un pays dont la réputation est d’être excessivement cher ne font qu’agrémenter ce séjour. Exceptionnel n’est donc pas un vain mot pour décrire cet établissement où l’on va de surprises en surprises en découvrant sa «chambre », ainsi qu’une cuisine délicieuse et finement présentée… Un régal pour les yeux… Un ravissement pour les papilles… Et un nouvel art de vivre en revêtant la tenue de samouraï que l’ensemble des convives portent pour aller dîner… Paix de l’âme et tranquillité de l’esprit sont les maîtres mots de cette demeure dont le passé se conjugue avec le monde d’aujourd’hui dans un environnement d’une exceptionnelle beauté.
