Niva Niwa Lodge

The hotel is well located to have a great view of the mountain, unfortunately the mist was present. The reception at the hotel is very dark and would benefit from a good renovation as well as a good cleaning, everything is dirty and full of dust. We stayed in the new building, the rooms are OK but not maintained, the carpet is dirty, the bathroom does not have ventilation, the water from the shower splashes everywhere. On the other hand, the bed is very comfortable, soft and firm at the same time. The evening meal was ok and so was the breakfast. But it is imperative to do a major cleaning.

The mountain lodges in the Nagarkot area have rough roads and poor road conditions, and there are no living functions around them. The biggest selling point is that you can see the Himalayas, but it also depends on the weather. There are no well-planned trails around, and there is a big gap with the scenic spots on the high mountains in Taiwan, such as Hehuan Mountain and Daxue Mountain. The ecological environment is very good, but it is a pity that the garbage in the mountainous area is dumped indiscriminately, destroying the nature. The size of the room is acceptable, but the furnishings are very simple; there are two seats on the balcony for viewing. However, there is only one mug for hot drinks. There is no TV to watch in the room; the room is dimly lit and difficult to read. There is a wardrobe, but there is only one hanger in the wardrobe, and there are no hooks for hanging clothes in the room. May I ask where should the passengers' clothes be placed? I really don't know if this hostel has considered the needs of tourists! The bathroom is not big, and it is a bathroom with a shower without partitions. Therefore, it is hoped that after the previous person showers, the bathroom floor will be completely wet, so that there will be no risk of slipping and falling for subsequent users of the bathroom. Breakfast and dinner are served in this hostel. The food is ordinary and lacks delicious food. The friendly staff deserves an extra star.

We arrive at this hotel from the end of the world, by a road that our coach had trouble taking. At first glance, it looks like the hotel of The Shining (once devastated), at second, no doubt, we are there. Everything is old (very old and dirty), not maintained (for years) ... Stroke of luck (if there is one), we stay in the "new" part. No elevator, dirty hallways and we are on the 4th floor... The room is relatively spacious and bright, the view of the valley is very nice. There is no tv, WiFi only works in the lobby, you are only allowed half a roll of pq, the cupboard is locked. We were still able to take a shower. The dinner was not very good, nor was the breakfast (taken on a dirty and sticky tablecloth…)
