First of all, it's only a minute's walk from the ”Oura Kaigan-dori” stop on the Nagasaki tram line, so it's the perfect place to use the streetcar! I always stay at Richmond when i travel in Japan. I am happy with the location , very convenient to everything. My room was specious and clean.When i need more coffee bag , i git it deliver to my room very quickly. It is really value for money staying at Richmond Hotel.

The hotel is well located for the Tram which is the main transport around Nagasaki and there are good restaurants, coffee shops (try Caffe Veloce) and convenience stores nearby in the lanes. The room was also one of the biggest we stayed in. But a heavy downside for us was the cigarette smoke smell in the reception area because of its proximity to the bar where smoking is allowed. The bar itself looked great but we didn't use it, or take the breakfast option because of the smell. If it wasn't for this I would definitely have rated it higher.

This time I stayed in a room with 3 beds with 3 family members. The size of the room, the lighting (brightness) and the cleanliness were great. Especially, I am very satisfied with the size of the room (of course, it is not as large as overseas, but in Japan there are 3 beds, and I am impressed with that size). The location of the hotel was also convenient between Nagasaki Station and the center of Nagasaki. The front desk customer service was very good except for one person. Hotel New Nagasaki is situated near to Nagasaki JR Station and right beside AMU Plaza. There is a convenience store next to the hotel and a very delicious izakaya and ramen store! The room that we had chosen was very comfortable, clean and we love the amenities! Hotel service staffs are very accomodating. We had a very pleasant and enjoyable stay.

I stayed in the ”Premium Balcony Twin” on the top floor (13th floor) for one night from Sunday, April 28th.
