Sotetsu Fresa Inn Nagoya-Shinkansenguchi

I have stayed in a number of Sotetsu Fresca Inn in Japan and this branch is wonderful too. It’s near train station but takes a while to find using maps due to the heavy construction near the station. There are 2 things I love a lot: 1. The room ambiance is calm and convenient. The color combination of the room is pleasing to look at especially after a long day of travel. Though the room is a bit small, buttons are conveniently located so it’s easy to access all the lighting buttons. 2. I love the buckwheat pillow which is therapeutic to sleep at night. I had a good night rest after a long overnight flight the day before. Overall, I will recommend this hotel as it’s new, clean and offers a good night rest.

pros: near the transport center, well supply of skin care etc, with microwave, washing machine cons: no view from the room, breakfast area small and crowded, not much shop nearby

Hotel is 7mins away from Nagoya Station. 5mins away from Klook Day trip pickup. (Outside Mini Stop convenience shop) The location is surrounded by Yakiniku restaurants. Has 3 convenience shops around the area within 3mins walk. ( Lawson, Family Mart) Bic & mini underground shopping is 5mins walk away. The room ought to have a better cleaning as i find it too dusty. Was having a bad eye irration during my stay. Overall for the price, its a value for money.

I would say they tried their best to meet my requests (quiet, away from the lift, no corner room). I guess the definition of quiet is to each individual. I could hear water running next door from their toilet. My room was just beside the lift, but I did not hear any sound from the functioning doors though. My room was the second from one end, lol. But the whole experience was good. They have the necessary amenities, again to each individual. Their laundry I thought was cheap, I seldom do laundry overseas, but I decided to after I saw the price. 1kg and below is 400 yen, 3 kg and below was 500 yen. I washed 3 berms and 3 t-shirts that weighed around 1.5kg. The location was pretty good. Toyota rent a car is just beside if anyone plans to rent a car. Walk about 5mins you will reach Nagoya station that connect all those malls like Esca, midland etc. Food wise not many choices for me because I am a vegetarian. There are NATO, miso, rice, eggs, bread, and pancakes. That's about it for a vegetarian breakfast.
