LIZA HOTEL Republic-era Mansion

A very good hotel with a strong民國 (Republic of China) era charm. Its biggest advantage is the metro station right outside, which is incredibly convenient. All the major attractions are along the same street, so there's no need to detour. They even offer complimentary desserts in the evening, which is a really thoughtful touch. Highly recommended!

Pros: The hotel is super close to the subway; you can see it right as you exit the station. The lobby on the first floor doubles as a bar and restaurant, with many photogenic spots. There are several themed rooms to choose from; this time I stayed in the 'Republic of China Past' room! Cons: After checking in, I added the butler on WeChat. Only after entering the room was I informed that there would be construction every morning starting at 8 AM, and if I minded, I could check out within half an hour. Who has the energy to deal with finding a new place late at night? They could have informed me earlier. If I had known, I would have chosen a different hotel. Not even during check-in was there any mention of noise! The soundproofing in the room is also terrible. My neighbors were still ordering takeout past 1 AM, and I could clearly hear the staff knocking on their door to deliver it, as well as their conversations. Early in the morning, around 7 AM, I could hear children making noise from the street, even with the windows closed, which shows how poor the sound insulation is. Plus, the curtains are very thin and let in a lot of light. Light sleepers absolutely cannot tolerate the noise and light! Also, around 10 AM, the butler would message me, reminding me to pack up and leave! That felt really bad! It's the first time I've been rushed to check out so early at a hotel! If you're looking for a photo opportunity, this place is fine, but if you genuinely want a good night's sleep, I highly recommend going to a proper hotel!

The hotel's location is excellent, right by the subway entrance, making travel very convenient. I was very satisfied with the room; its style was unique and charming. The staff had a great service attitude, and they even offered complimentary evening desserts. The room amenities were also very complete.

The moment I walked in, I was impressed – the entire place was spotless, with gleaming, dust-free floors and thoroughly cleaned corners and crevices. The bed in the room was neatly made, and the sheets and duvet covers were pristine white and stain-free, making me feel completely at ease. The bathroom deserves special mention; the mirror and counter were spotless with no water marks, and the shower and toilet were immaculately clean, dry, and odor-free. The towels and bath towels were neatly arranged, felt dry and soft to the touch, and looked perfectly hygienic. The indoor ventilation was excellent, with no stuffiness or strange odors, contributing to an overall fresh and comfortable environment. It's clear that the cleaning staff put a lot of effort into every detail. As someone who places a high priority on hotel hygiene, my stay here was absolutely perfect and offered incredible value for money. I'll definitely prioritize this hotel for future trips. Highly recommended!

The location is fantastic! After arriving in Nanjing by high-speed rail, it's just one subway stop away, and you can see the hotel right outside the subway exit. It's also super convenient to get to attractions like Fuzimiao, Laomendong, Xuanwu Lake, and Jiming Temple by subway.

It truly sets the bar for Republic of China-style hotels! The hotel is right next to Xiaoshi subway station Exit 1, making it super convenient to get to attractions like Hongshan Zoo, Xuanwu Lake, and Fuzimiao. If you're driving, there's free private parking, so transportation is completely hassle-free. The service details are impeccable. Upon arrival, I received welcome fruits, and every night at 9 PM, they delivered a warm complimentary dessert (red bean tangyuan/snow fungus soup). The mini-bar drinks are also free. The staff were consistently warm, attentive, and responsive throughout my stay. They also offer Qipao styling and photography services. With professional makeup and shooting, you can easily capture stunning Republic of China-era photos, transforming into a 'Republic of China socialite' in minutes.
