The hotel is right next to Zifeng Tower, so the location is excellent. It's an older five-star hotel, so the facilities are a bit dated, but that's not a dealbreaker. Free parking after check-in is a nice perk. We arrived quite late, around 11:30 PM, and there were still available spots in the parking lot; we ended up parking on the ramp. They even have XPeng fast chargers on the ground floor of the parking lot, which charged up our car super quickly. Overall, it was a good stay.

1. I was told my room wasn't ready when I tried to check in after 2 PM, and apparently, there wasn't a single suitable room available in this huge hotel. 2. The previous guest had eaten crayfish in the room, and the sauce spilled on the carpet left a terrible smell. The hotel staff assured me that while the stain couldn't be removed, the smell would be gone. It wasn't. I stayed for two days and complained to the front desk and housekeeping 5-6 times, but nothing was done. 3. Housekeeping was very haphazard; an oil stain left by the previous guest on a chair wasn't cleaned, and it got on my white dress, which I couldn't wash out. My complaint to the front desk went nowhere. 4. The hotel room was very old and showed rust in multiple places, such as the bedside table handles and the bathroom threshold. The bed also made a lot of noise every time I turned over.

The front desk staff were warm and proactive in upgrading my room. They responded 24/7, paying attention to every detail. The hotel is located in the old city, very close to Gulou Station, with many local restaurants and various shops downstairs, making it very convenient. Xiao Jiu at the front desk was excellent, providing a free room upgrade. The room had a bathtub, which was fantastic! The hotel's breakfast was also good, featuring duck blood vermicelli soup. It's a great choice for both business and leisure travelers. Tip: The hotel has food delivery robots. If you order takeout, be sure to tell the delivery person to use the robot to send it to your room. Otherwise, they might just leave it in the takeout locker on the first floor lobby. Before the robot delivers the food, the front desk confirms the guest's surname with the delivery person, which is a thoughtful touch.

It used to be a five-star property, but due to various factors like the number of rooms, management issues, or ownership changes, it couldn't maintain its position in the high-end market after long-term competition. However, the location is excellent, and if the price is right, it definitely has a market. Breakfast is 19.9 RMB, which isn't expensive, but I didn't have time for it. Maybe next time!

Also, toilet paper wasn't replenished in the bathroom. My booking confirmation stated that breakfast was included, and I had even double-checked it on the platform beforehand. Yet, when I went to the restaurant, I was told my room type didn't include breakfast. I had to call the front desk to confirm, and the result was still no breakfast. So, is this a platform issue or a hotel management problem? Honestly, this was the worst service experience I've had in years.
