Shui Sha Lian Hotel

Pros: Amazing lake view from balcony family room. And location close to bus drop off. Cons: balcony doors were faulty, no wine glasses or ice, shower over bath not ideal as all the water splashes out throughout the bathroom and toilet making it very wet.

The hotel is dated and poorly maintained, although I stayed in the newer wing, Shui Sha Lian. The lake view at the balcony was stunning, that was the only highlight. The room looks old and worn out with sticky floor, and the basin leaked, leaving the toilet floor constantly wet. The bathtub design was impractical and unsafe, you have to climb over a high partition with no proper standing area, which feels risky. The marble floor and walls make the area even more slippery. The towels had stains and an unpleasant smell. The table top near the built-in water dispenser area had a foul smell, and I didn’t dare use it, especially since it’s unclear when the filter was last replaced. Breakfast was disappointing with very limited choices, served cold, and repeated daily. Staff at the reception and restaurant looked consistently unfriendly, and the overall service was lacklustre. I would not recommend this hotel.

Best seat in the house! Clean hotel, friendly and helpful reception, tastefully decorated with great food options. Centrally located with access to bus, boat and bike rentals. Above all else the non obstructed view of the lake! Highly recommend!

Nice place water front. Staff are friendly. Room is bit small . However worth the price

Hotel is right next to Shuishe pier which is near the bus station. The room is clean with a balcony facing the pier. There is a warning about certain insects to look out for in the room so we didn't check out the view at night. The shops around close early so get your dinner early. Breakfast is included and taste average. Avoid pasta at all cost

excellent hotel to stay in around sun moon lake nantou.. the location is very nice near restaurants and souveniers.. when you want to ride in a boat its just steps away from the harbor.. the food is good they have foods for kids..
