wonderful!

The steep hill leading up to My Naoshima Lodge felt quite unwelcoming at first, but to my pleasant surprise, beautiful cats came out to greet us! Being an avid cat lover, that really was a great perk for me. Anyway, the hotel, being relatively new, had very clean facilities and I really had nothing to complain about except for the relatively earlier checkout time (10AM! Seriously?😭) compared to other accomodations and inaccessibility to eating spots. Definitely recommend stopping by at the only 7Eleven in Naoshima on your way uphill.

It is a Muji-style accommodation, about 600 meters away from Miyaura Port, with a slope. The room is made of wood, very neat and clean, and the view is so beautiful. You can sit on the balcony and drink. The only drawback is that the sound insulation is a bit poor, but the rest is very warm and perfect.

Although the room is small, there is no extra space for suitcases. But the small balcony made up for everything, the view was beautiful. It's a long walk from the ferry terminal, and it's quite a steep climb. Choose carefully if you are traveling with the elderly.

*Simple and quiet hotel choice* Convenient location - not far from Miyaura Port, 8 minutes walk. The facilities are good - the basic facilities are all available, very clean and hygienic. It adopts the MUJI style and has no TV. You can enjoy the leisure and tranquility of Naoshima. Good breakfast and dinner - fresh ingredients, healthy and delicious.

Don’t bring large suitcases!! Nice place with great views but steep climb up and no lift so you need to carry your luggage up 2 flights of stairs. Breakfast average and not really worth the cost.

The place is very nice and cozy and clean. The view of the island looking from the room is excellent. Food is very nice. I had both dinner and breakfast there.

Terrace view is quite good, but that is the only positive one. The worst is dining.

Very Good, EXCEPT had to pay to get extra pillows! Considering what we paid for the room, a charge to wash two extra pillowcases was ridiculous!

Fantastic view from my balcony. The reception was nice to recommend restaurants and answer your questions. I rented a bike before going up there, which is recommended as the location is on a pretty steep hill. My main luggage was stored at a station in Okayama so I could travel light to the Island. I recommend doing that.

to find on foot but once you do, you’re in heaven. Private terrace views of the Seto Inland Sea and very peaceful.

A functional place to sleep in Naoshima, that is fantastic if you expect a hostel. Be warned, it’s up a steep hill with no public transport options. We had no hot water both nights in shower/taps. The beds are very small, and quite basic. Breakfast is a bit basic, but worth doing given limited dining options. It is fairly convenient to get a bus to/from the Benesse House but be aware of the running times.

Small but cozy, price includes nice breakfast & dinner, very competitive! Our room is with balcony, only disappointing thing is lots of mosquitoes when turn dark, which makes us stay inside instead of relaxing in the open air
