BEWARE. This hotels customer service goes one below zero! We booked this hotel just after the cyclone hit New Zealand. The government declared a State of Emergency and advised that no one should travel to the area. I and my booking agent request a refund but so far they have declined. They are only interested in profit and have no consideration for their customers.

This motel was such good value for money. The studio can sleep 4 and there is a massive spa bath in the main bedroom. Well stocked bathroom and right in the beach. Rosie OGradys has lovely pub food and. lone star worthy of a beer.

Overnight stay, tipping down with rain so we were happy to collect food and eat in our very comfortable family unit - I'd booked a studio but we were given a bigger room, didn't take advantage of the spa bath but it was tempting. The kitchen was well equipped, bed was comfortable, shower pressure really excellent (just what you need after a day's driving. We were able to have a good walk along the waterfront next morning, the Beach Front Motel is well situated with access to tourist attractions. One small point - in the upstairs big units be careful of the top step, we put a dining chair on that step, it would be very easy to forget the step-down is there and would be easy to fall.

Great room with plenty of space and a decent size spa bath to enjoy as well. The location is perfect, right opposite the beach and a short walk to venture into town. We will stay again next time we are in the area.

Good value motel right on the beachfront of the resort. Rooms are a bit dated, but they are large, clean, and have all amenities you require. There is a separate living room area bedroom and bathroom, ours also had the added bonus of a very large spa bath. We found them to be very quiet. They were short of staff during our visit, so there no servicing of the rooms, but on request, they did provide clean towels, etc. Overall a good choice for a visit to Napier.

Do not book here! We *****ped the sheets to help out. To my disgust found this, very unsanitary. (Can confirm it’s definitely not my blood) the other single bed also had urine stains on it. Extremely disappointed. I was not impressed with the outcome after showing this to management.

The room needed refurbishment, spa bath kept tripping the circuit board, air conditioning not working properly. Ripped wallpaper, crumbs in the microwave from previous guests, toilet seat was loose. Complained to reception and transferred us to Shoreline Motel. Both these motels need revamping as old and tired also not up to a 4 star rating.

We stayed here for two nights in a first floor room with a beach view. The room was spacious and had a nice little balcony overlooking the esplanade and beach. We didn't use the in-room spa but it looked good. The motel is a short walk from the town centre and a good selection of cafes and restaurants. The decor was a little dated but everything worked. The motel was not servicing the rooms daily due to staff shortages when we stayed but this didn't cause us any problems.
