This has been one of the best if not THE best experience I have ever had in a Japanese hotel. We stayed in Nara for 2 days. The hotel has only a few rooms and quietly located within walking distance of the Kasuga Taisha. The room we had faces the forest on one side and a beautiful path on the other, and it was super large.
It might not be as noticeable as others near the train station, but it’s a must try if you plan to stay in Nara for an extended period, which in its own rightis definitely worth it.

The moment I stepped into the room, I was pleasantly surprised by how spacious and clean it was. I also requested birthday decorations and a cake, and all my wishes were fulfilled. Thanks to the staff's incredible service, which exceeded my expectations, I had a very enjoyable and comfortable stay. A big thank you to the gentleman who helped us so much, including taking photos. The new hotel has a great location, very close to Dodai-ji Temple and Kasuga Shrine. The rooms are spacious and the water pressure is strong. The only downside is the lack of curtains. The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful.
