Mountain Home Lodge in Deer Park

We stumbled upon this lodging while on a family trip with our 6-year-old. We set out on a trip hoping a deer would wake us up in the morning! ^^ We were extremely satisfied with the result! First, the cleanliness! Even the areas that could have been a little moldy, like the sink and bathroom, were very clean. I was impressed by the manager's meticulous attention to detail! Second, the room was spacious! The bed and kitchen were separate, and the overall space was spacious. The bathroom was also spacious, so my son and I could relax in the bathtub to end the day. We were so grateful for the washing machine! Third, the soft blankets and comfortable bed! And all the thoughtful amenities (laundry detergent, hangers, dishes, refrigerator, washing machine, colored paper) were provided. The only downside was the lack of a TV! Without a TV, the three of us had a lot of fun chatting in the evenings, doing origami, and climbing up and down the bunk beds. 🥰 Our family was very, very satisfied with the quiet, relaxing atmosphere of the lodge! My husband, who's picky about accommodations, said we'll definitely come back here next year. LOL We're in Osaka now, but everyone wants to go back to Indie Park~^^ I'll miss it so much until my next visit. ❤️

Located at the entrance to the upper part of Wakakusa Mountain, it's very convenient to reach by car. Parking spaces can be rented from Mizutani Store for 1500 yen per use. The rooms are fully equipped, with a separate bathroom and toilet as is typical for Japanese apartments. Importantly, all pots, pans, plates, and tableware are provided, perfect for a simple meal. Another great feature is the deer herd right outside; you can play with them at night and in the morning. Deer crackers are sold at the shop across the street. Excellent value for money.

The hotel was very comfortable, located right inside the park. Upon opening the room door, I saw six children outside, looking very happy.

This was my second stay. One of the great things about this lodge is that you can interact with the deer. It's also quiet at night, which is very relaxing. However, there aren't many buses, and it's difficult to call a taxi, so I think taking the bus is a bit inconvenient.

The location is great. You can walk uphill to Mt. Wakakusa. It’s beautiful to feed the deer and watch the sunset. It’s very close to Todaiji Kasuga Taisha Shrine. The small suite with bunk beds for three people and a kitchen is so beautiful. You can make dinner and breakfast early in the morning. The deer is in front of the window, it feels like a vacation

There is an old man with a particularly bad attitude, he must be the boss. The waitress on the second day thought it was facial paralysis, but she saw a European and American child smiling like a chrysanthemum. The attitude of these two people still makes me feel uncomfortable when I think about it! A very nice mixed-race guy would have turned around and left if he hadn't received us on the first day! In addition, the B&B is very remote and unsafe, and there are no cameras anywhere in Japan! You must live in the city. Living here is very remote and there is no food. Another scary thing is that there is cockroach-killing medicine under the pool. Guess why, you will see cockroaches as big as eggs when you live here. I saw a lot of unsatisfactory reviews on this B&B before, and I know why. I hope you can be sincere and treat others well. Why write your own comments? What the translator writes is wrong.
