We stayed at the penthouse which oversaw the whole Nara city and its cherry blossoms so the view from the room is spectacular. The room has a private outdoor bathtub which is available 24/7. It was so nice to take a hot bath outdoor with the view of Nara. The penthouse also has a fireplace which is a nice spot at night for sky glazing.

The scenery and view are unparalleled, the hotel service is very friendly, and there are group activities in the evening to take you to the top of the mountain to watch the night view. The only drawback is that the cherry blossoms bloomed late this year, which wasted my careful selection of hotels for so long.

The location is halfway up Mt. Wakakusa. You can ask the hotel to drive you up to the top of the mountain to watch the sunset and feed the deer. The food is average. The hot spring is good. You can see the night view of Nara.

I highly recommend this place. The breakfast and dinner are very carefully prepared, and you can experience the exquisiteness of Japanese food. The room is well-equipped, spacious and hygienic. It is located on the top of Mount Wakakusa, overlooking Nara.

Except that the transportation is not very convenient, everything else is very good. If you want to have dinner or have a private bath and want to watch the sunset, you must reserve a place with the hotel in advance.

I obviously booked dinner for two days, but I don’t know why I was asked to pay more than 7,000 yen when I left. They said that I didn’t pay for dinner one day and needed to be verified by the platform! In addition, the hotel has a nice view on the mountain, but it is inconvenient to travel down the mountain. We need to take a hotel shuttle bus, but the driver did not tell us how to pick us up after we went down the mountain. We had to take a taxi back. Taxi fees in Japan are indeed not cheap.
