Check-in was swift and service was splendid. Room is spacious and comfy. Love the stay.

We stayed at the penthouse which oversaw the whole Nara city and its cherry blossoms so the view from the room is spectacular. The room has a private outdoor bathtub which is available 24/7. It was so nice to take a hot bath outdoor with the view of Nara. The penthouse also has a fireplace which is a nice spot at night for sky glazing.

Hygiene: Yellow stains that had not been cleaned were found on the toilet Environment: Halfway up Mount Wakakusa, isolated from the outside noise. The overall design style is modern Japanese. If you want to experience pure Japanese living, you should pay attention to the difference Service: The service is still worthy of praise. The driver and front desk staff are very enthusiastic. The hotel is elegantly decorated, the quality of breakfast and dinner is excellent, and the service is also in place (language communication requires translation software, which is ok), and the pick-up station is free, which is very convenient! Because it is located halfway up Mount Wakakusa, if you don't order a meal, you have to go down the mountain by yourself for dinner, so it is recommended to book a room with two meals. The stargazing activity at 8 o'clock in the evening, the winding mountain road is a bit dizzy, but the scenery on the top of the mountain is worth it. If it is a sunny day, you can see the stars, and it will be more exciting with the lights of thousands of houses below the mountain. If you want to go to the top of the mountain the next day, hiking is also feasible, but the winding mountain road is a bit tortuous and requires physical strength. There are cherry blossoms in spring and snow in winter. The scenery of Mount Wakakusa is endless. I will come again next time.

Needless to say, it was clean. The bed was big enough to accommodate two adults and one child. The dinner was impressive. I experienced an unprecedented Japanese kaiseki cuisine. From the selection of ingredients to the presentation of the dishes, the chef's love for Japanese cuisine and his recognition of local ingredients were revealed. He was really rigorous and serious about it. Although my aesthetic taste for top Japanese food has not reached a high level of taste appreciation, I have to admit that the craftsmanship spirit was brought to the extreme by the hotel chef. The standard of breakfast was also very high, including the hotel, service, and private soup at night. If it hadn't rained and I couldn't see the starry sky, this trip to Ando would have been perfect. I hope I can see the brilliant Milky Way next time I go there.

The view from the room was amazing.

The scenery and view are unparalleled, the hotel service is very friendly, and there are group activities in the evening to take you to the top of the mountain to watch the night view. The only drawback is that the cherry blossoms bloomed late this year, which wasted my careful selection of hotels for so long.

The location is suitable for vacation. The room is a bit old, breakfast and dinner are OK, and the hot spring on the top floor is unique. The hotel has a car to the top of Mount Wakakusa, where you can overlook Todaiji Temple and the city. It is a little inconvenient to go to Nara Park.

The price/performance ratio is quite good, but it is too old. I'd buy it from a big brand and have it refurbished.

Except that the transportation is not very convenient, everything else is very good. If you want to have dinner or have a private bath and want to watch the sunset, you must reserve a place with the hotel in advance.
