Our stay at Livemax hostel was good, not legendary, but that’s what you expect for the price. The price reflects the size of the room, which was just enough for 2 beds and a box size shower/toilet area, not enough room to be unpacking all your things.
The bathroom had shampoo, conditioner and body wash available and there were towels, razors and toothbrushes available for free. The aircon worked well as the room was very small it was necessarily to be on all the time to stop the room becoming stuffy.
The hotel wasn’t noisy and we didn’t have any problems with noise. There are only 4-5 rooms on each floor so this hotel is very small.
There are washing machines and dryers available for coins on the first floor, along with a small onsen type bath that can fit 3 people.
The hotel is a 5 minute walk or so to JR Nara station and a short walk to the central road which takes you to Nara park in 15-20 minute walk.

Location is very strategic where it is near to Nara Station. You can walk to Nara Deer Park in 30 minutes and the Nara street in 2 minutes. Highly recommended

Good location, facilities and amenities. The room was a bit cramped for 2 people with 2 medium luggage, but if you travel light it was a nice hotel for short stays 👍

Near the tombs. Can use tram for free with JR pass to hotel. Otherwise good.
