We booked a double room for one night. The checking in time was between 1500 and 1800. We arrived at 16.00. We went in and said we had booked. We were told that there should be an envelope in the entrance porch with the room key in as the bar/restaurant downstairs is a separate business to the hotel. Checked the porch, nothing there. They gave us his number, it went straight to answer phone. Tried a few times on and off over the next hour and a half, same every time, leave a message. So there we were stuck without a hotel for the night. We eventually found a room , the last one available at 18,00. I contacted Trip.com who were really helpful. Scott from Trip.com tried to contact the owner but had no luck. Within about 20 minutes we had had a full refund and have been told to keep our hotel receipt and they will give us some compensation for the hassle we had. So Ty Waldo absolute rubbish,, Trip.com wonderful. We eventually stayed in Plas Hyfryd Country Hotel. Absolutely wonderful, wouldn't hesitate to stay there again .
