I was going to Nashville for a couple of days over July 4th weekend. Most hotels were at a premium, so I stayed at the Drake to save a little money. It's a pretty charming place as you drive in. It feels like you drove right into the 1950's. If you need a place to put your head it's fine. It's not the cleanest place in the world, know that going in. It's not the kind of place to bring your family either. It's a bed, a TV, a small fridge and microwave, and that's about it. No bugs, hardwood floors instead of carpet, the mattress was firm and comfortable. Sheets seemed clean too. So if you need to save a little cash, and need a bed for the night, The Drake will suffice.
