We stayed here on a college campus tour of Vanderbilt. It's a great location for visiting the university. The check in process ok but the room we were assigned smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. When we went out to dinner, they put an ozone generator in the room so arriving back it was full of ozone. Ozone in an enclosed environment is harmful to health so I'm surprised they would do this. We got a new room, but it was a hassle and they should have cleaned the smoky room before making it available to guests. The beds were worn out and things in general had seen some hard use. The kitchen is nice in the room and home2suites usually give a good amount of space. We used the fitness center with a decent amount of free weights and some machines. The valet fee of $40 / day seems quite high, but everything in the neighborhood has turned into high rise buildings so it is an urban location. We walked to downtown Nashville, it's about a mile. There's a Hattie B's hot chicken just around the corner and plenty of bars and restaurants right in the neighborhood. Breakfast is included and was pretty good with oatmeal, eggs, waffles, etc.
