The Joseph, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Nashville

Everyone was attentive. The food was excellent and the service was exceptional. Truly 5-star luxury!

This place is special! Great service! Everyone is friendly, including housekeeping. We used the valet and Rob was so helpful and gave us great recommendations and tips. We had breakfast three days in a row because it was delicious! Loved our stay. We will definitely be back!

The Joseph in Nashville did not disappoint. Excellent service from door men to front desk especially Lucy! Our Platinum status was acknowledged with gratitude. Late check-out which was much needed. 5 minute walk to Broadway. Great location. Loyal to Marriott forever!

What's working well: 1) Valet service (third-party) especially Heather's level of service. This was refreshing, considering the valet service at the Four Seasons couldn't care less when our vehicle was broken into under their watch and would take an average of 25 minutes or more to bring our vehicle to the front. 2) Room was moderately comfortable. 3) Housekeeping team 4) One of the concierge team members I spoke with appeared helpful and friendly. What are notably disappointing: 1) Overall, the worst concierge representation I have seen at any Marriott location. The morning front staff in particular during our stay appeared unfriendly and too busy socializing to make eye contact or say hello. The checkout experience was appalling. No eye contact or greeting, no offer to print out the folio, and no inquiries about our stay. 2) While staying at other five star hotels in the same area, we hardly heard any of the street noises especially cars. We had to wake up by 5:00 a.m. during our stay every morning but were barely rested for the event we were here to attend and for the long drive home, because the noises were so loud. We were offered earplugs, but they were not comfortable to wear even while awake. 3) One of the televisions didn't work and still included the prior guest's information. 4) The coffee maker only worked half the time. 5) Although the brunch selections seem good, the in-room dining dinner selections/options left a lot to be desired. The quantity was unpredictable, and some ingredients that are not mentioned on the menu such as parmesan were immediately added versus placing to the side. The vegetarian guest who ordered it couldn't consume some of the items, which were added.

Jackson and Luke are the best valets in Nashville! Needed car early for event and had it stationed nearby. Made space for me to wait for rest of family to come down in super crowded valet area. Always offering water and hustling for all the guests. Makes a great first impression for The Joseph.
