Sandals Royal Bahamian

We visited Sandals Royal Bahamian as a large family of 16 - ages 20 to 75. Everyone loved it! The size of the resort is perfect. The facilities are beautiful, the food was great (especially Kimonos!), and the service was exceptional. The entire week was amazing. We enjoyed the pool, we visited the beautiful private island, and we snorkeled on the Club Sandals snorkeling trip. We loved the all-inclusive nature of the resort, and we enjoyed spending quality time with family. We had originally considered Baha Mar (and we visited while we were in Nassau), but I'm so glad we ended up at Sandals Royal Bahamian. It was an easy vacation and we felt pampered. We will definitely visit this resort again in the future!

This was our first visit to a Sandals resort. It has been absolutely fabulous. Our room was clean and lovely. Tara at Kimonos and Soy Sushi restaurants was super accommodating with getting us reservations and great service. The bars in all locations were wonderful. The food at the food trucks was convenient and delicious. We also had a wonderful experience with the on site photographers. Dariel captured great images. We will certainly return and look forward to vacationing at other Sandals locations.

Not impressed at all, failed at every level of our experience. When we arrived our rooms were not ready , we had to wait over an hour just for them to bring us to our room. When we asked what was going on they told us they didn’t know. When we arrived to our room, we had to wait an additional hour for our bags to arrive wasting our afternoon there. The entire experience can be summarized as a group of people who say they’ll follow up who actually don’t. Informed them it was our baby moon via email , no response to the email but at the resort they did mention to me they’d do something special in our room for my wife, this never happened. My pregnant wife went downstairs to the desk in our west building to book some excursions , they told her the computer wasn’t working and to walk to the front desk. Service at the meals was terrible , I’d have to repeatedly ask for our drinks at almost every meal we went to. On one occasions I actually got up and went to the bar myself to get a drink. Our rooms floor had a leak in it and my bath robe got wet , asked for another robe this never arrived. They also informed us maintenance would come check out the leak , they never arrived. Room service does not refill your bar and when you ask go a refill , they say they’ll come but once again never do. At checkout they didn’t grab our bags from our room like they said they would. Only after asking where they were did someone go grab them so we didn’t leave for the airport without them. No idea what we paid over $8000 for , service was absolutely terrible. Sent an email complaining about the service I received and big surprise , no reply to that either. Go to another resort , not worth the money.

After a quick two-hour flight, we arrived early at SRB on a Friday on a Shuttle in dire need of replacement and probably shocks. We were assisted by Jerdavinique in the Club Lounge who did her best to get us into our room a little bit early. She was so pleasant for our arrival and thereafter. We booked a WJS room as we were only there for a four night stay and we really only shower and sleep in the room. (Normally we book beachfront or beachview rooms as I love to sit on the balcony/patio). We began our stay in room 1118; upon walking in to room 1118 there was a heavy deodorizor/spray type smell. We went about our day/night until I woke up at 2 am with what felt like the onset of a migraine type headache. I was very nauseous for the next few hours until I actually got sick at 5:30 am. Finally I got some more sleep about 6 am. During these overnight hours I began to smell a musty odor in our room. Once my husband woke up I called the Concierge to advise them of the smell to see what they could do. We had plans to meet new friends to head over to the private island on the first shuttle. We were advised that we could not do that until they spoke to reservations to see if they could switch our room. They also told us we had to have our bags packed for them to move before we could leave and wouldn't be able to get into the new room until 3 pm check in time (now I have to carry my cash, passports, etc with me without the use of the room safe). Somehow this didn't seem acceptable but I was not feeling 100% until I got more fresh air in my head/lungs. We were advised that we could leave our valuables in a locker at the front entry where you first arrive with your bags. We were able to catch up with our friends on the island after noon. They moved us to room 1122 a few doors down and assured us there was no smell there. Upon having to go get our new key and get into our new room, I pressed the HVAC button and the unit stopped working. This happened twice over two days that I had to call to have maintenance fix. After the second call it was set to 60 degrees but it was apparent the temp was nowhere near 60 in the room. The rain shower head was in an awkward position to hit the back of the opposite wall. The other handheld piece to the shower was broken off and missing altogether. Just a side note, there is no ceiling fan in this category room, or bathroom exhaust fan. The AC would not go below 68 degrees in room 1118. There were also no club level robes in room 1118 nor were any brought to us after our arrival. The outlet by the fridge where I had my phone plugged all night was also not working in room 1118. We went to dinner at Butches for our 6 pm reservation. The overall service took an hour and 45 minutes. My husband waited 40 minutes for a drink from the bar. All the tables around us were long turned over. Not sure if our server Deshon was new but his spirits were good, he was just way more attentive to his oth

My husband and I are first time travelers to the Sandals property and the Royal Bahamian resort did not disappoint. Our island villa room with private pool and butler suite was secluded which is exactly what we were looking for. Our butler team, Zhally, Haci and Anil were awesome! They definitely made us feel special. The private island is a must to visit. We can’t wait to go back!

We had a wonderful time and there is a little bit of everything at this Sandals resort. Great assortment of restaurants to choose from and we did not have a meal that we did not thoroughly enjoy. Unlike a couple of Sandals that we have been too, the concierge was able to get us reservations at the higher end restaurants without a problem. We are beach people that like it quiet and in the shade. That option resides mostly at the Sandals' island which is a short boat ride away. The beach chairs at the resort and not on the island that are covered are more limited and primarily taken by the guests that have butlers. There are two big pools that give you variety. One of the pools has more entertainment and music while the other pool is as big but is quieter. May is a good month to go as weather is similar to that of southern Florida and is before it gets too hot although we had some pretty warm days. We were told that some guests come in December and January expecting much warmer weather than what it is in the Bahamas but are told it starts to warm up starting after that. The rooms were clean, up to date and modern although they could have been vacuumed more than what they were. There are a few people that were exceptional in making our experience five star and I would like to call them out. Sandra in the Club Room, Hanna in concierge and Anna who was a jack of all trades that went over and above for us in everything she did. Anna was a true rock star. Esther was always a smiling face while serving us in the restaurant as well.

We went to the Sandals Royal Bahamian for our honeymoon. We spent 5 nights at the resort and had an amazing time. We chose this resort because Nassau is a very easy place to visit (quicker flights, nonstop flights, good airport, easy to get around). We had a private room in the villa with a private backyard pool. I would give 5+ for the room, the villa, and the butler experience. Derron and Dhanni were our butlers and we are so lucky they were the ones with us. They were each very professional while also being chill for us. They made sure we were relaxed, adapted to any changes we had, and were always quick to help with any needs we have. I don't know the other butlers here, but I'd say they were the best haha! Housekeeping crew (we have Paulette) was also awesome - kept our room very clean, and kept us fresh on towels, etc. And she was very nice each time we happened to see her at the room in the morning or afternoon. Can't speak to how this resort would be without a butler room though, because it is a smaller resort with a small beach area, and the restaurants weren't necessarily crowded but they were busy - we just fortunately had our butlers to help with getting us to our dinner reservation, and helping getting us a spot on the beach. ALSO, the massage on the beach - 10/10 as well. Big thanks to Derron and Dhanni for making this the perfect honeymoon.

Upon arrival at the airport, we were promptly greeted by Sandals staff. Our chauffeur to the resort was very friendly. When we arrived at the resort, we were greeted and assigned our butlers. The room was very nice and spacious. The food at the resort was excellent. Most notable was the service we received from our butlers Paula, Jackie and Kendrick. They were very attentive and made sure we had everything needed to make our stay most enjoyable. The property itself was very nice, well manicured and clean. We will definitely be back!!

This was our 4th Sandals trip and second to this resort. Check in 5 stars Food 5 stars Drinks 5 stars. Now for the decline. Housekeeping 2 stars. Our room was not cleaned on several occasions. Staff 3 stars. Most were friendly but a few were not. Bartender at east bay bar was slammed! All by himself with 30 people waiting. Eventually management saw and stepped in but come on, dont leave a guy hanging. Needless to say, he wasn’t happy. Boat ride to private island soliciting tips, no big deal but i didn’t have cash with me as it’s supposed to be all inclusive but got funny looks from crew when I didn’t tip. Overall we are loyal to Sandals, we love the brand.. we liked going to this location for convenience but we are trying Barbados next.
