I have stayed at Rosewood Baha Mar before and that place is amazing! So much that when the NBA was having the Summer League in Vegas last Summer in 2023 they stayed at Resorts World and a few of the executives stayed at the Rosewood in Vegas and then they have stayed with me at the Rosewood in Baha Mar and they said the Vegas one was okay however it was nothing compared to the Rosewood in Baha Mar. Night and Day! I think Between the Island charm of the Bahamian people, their work ethic, the fact most of their team is the original team from 2017 thats a big deal. But when you have employees like Shanequar, which she is an asset to that hotel and the team. (I have seen that woman cleaning a room for a guest so they could get in the room quicker.) She is amazing! I’ve never seen anyone do that and I was in restaurant/hospitality in my younger years. Then there is Ricarra another….great employee. Goes above and beyond. Even butlers that I’ve met 7 years ago still remembered my name. They act like their name is on the building not Rosewood. And Manor Bar with Fluffy and the entire crew. It’s just priceless! Fortunately Ive been blessed and can stay anywhere I want and when in Nassau I will only stay at Rosewood! Thanks for the great hospitality “Team Rosewood Bahamar”! Keep it up! LV

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Rosewood at Baha Mar for a week, and it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm smiles and excellent service from the front desk staff. Check-in was quick and seamless, setting the tone for a fantastic stay. The room was impeccably clean, spacious, and elegantly decorated, offering all the modern amenities one could need. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, ensuring restful nights throughout my stay. I also appreciated the attention to detail in the room’s design.The hotel amenities were top-notch. Throughout my stay, the hotel staff went above and beyond to ensure my comfort and satisfaction. Special mention goes to Shanequar, in particular, who stood out with her exceptional service and friendly demeanor. She provided excellent recommendations for local attractions and dining options, making my stay even more enjoyable. Overall, my stay at Rosewood at Baha Mar was nothing short of perfect. There is NO ONE like SHANEQUAR. She is a gem. The way we were welcomed by her upon arrival at the Rosewood started the trip in the right way. Shanequar’s attention to detail made the trip unforgettable. Her thoughtfulness to our family has us wanting to come back again very soon! Baha Mar is a MUST.

This was our fifth stay at Bahamar and we have always been impressed with the service and experience, as you can read from our previous reviews. Our most recent stay left us far less than impressed. It was clear to us that, across the board, the service has slipped. The wait for our room to be ready was incredibly long as we watched others come to check if their rooms were ready and get in their rooms immediately. I understand the difference in the types of rooms and I understand check in times, etc but we waited until after check in time for probably one of the worst rooms they had which was on the bottom floor. Not the best start. Staff overall were not as friendly as we have found them in the past. Case in point: had breakfast at Tingum. Our waiter probably the most indifferent waiter we’ve ever had. We sat and waited for a menu. As we watched others be seated and have menus and have orders taken, we asked an employee who our waiter was.. to which he replied “it’s me” and walked away. Had to ask for a menu, ask for our order to be taken. Even getting our drinks took a while. How hard is it to bring juice and coffee? And to smile and be courteous? We called every day for a bucket of ice. Took well over 30-45 minutes each time. Made multiple calls to check only to be told that it would be right up. Seems like with each call, they thought we were ordering more ice. One evening, we ended up with 3 buckets but they arrived as we were leaving our room. We stayed at the Four Seasons in Costa Rica in April where they had to bring the ice by a golf cart and it took far less time than it took the Rosewood staff to take an elevator down to the first floor. Maid staff was sketchy at best. The last night at turn down it appeared the maid was interrupted and never came back as there were items strewed in the bathroom, some used towels left and the both of the robes had been taken and not replaced. We found the beach service staff to be attentive and friendly as well as the staff in Marcus and inCafe Boulud. Not sure we will return after this experience. So many other better Caribbean options.

The beach and pool areas are beautiful. The food is a real problem, reservations are nearly impossible to secure, the food is terrible and overpriced. We got food poisoning at one of the restaurants. The servers in general are unhappy and unhelpful. Perhaps because the service charge is automatically included there is no incentive to work for/provide good service. The only exception is the beach service, the beach attendants were friendly and a bright spot in an otherwise disappointing experience. When we checked out there was an additional $1400 added to our bill for charges that we did not incur. The front desk did remove them but it was just one more issue. When we brought our concerns to management the food and beverage manager comped our dinner at Cafe Boulard and even the food there was terrible. A couple spit out their martinis, said it was the worst they ever had, and walked out of the restaurant. Coincidentally, Chef Boulard was also dining at the restaurant that evening because he had a an event there the next night. We even heard him complaining about the service! I also did not enjoy the shared hotel amenities: it felt dirty, overcrowded.

Thurs-Sun trip for our anniversary - truly fantastic - concierge helped arrange luxury transportation to and from the airport, everyone was so welcoming and friendly, they knew it was our anniversary and we got little extras with our meals like desserts and champagne - live entertainment, beautiful accommodations, beautiful beaches, delicious food and drinks, a lively ******! Had so much fun! The only con - it was very expensive!! But hey you get what you pay for!! Let me add that I have three children and I don’t know if I’d stay at this particular resort with the kiddos - I’d book next door at the Hyatt, but maybe that’s just my kids (the ambience here is a bit more subdued and elegant compared to the festivities at the other nearby hotels)
