Our family of 5 (kids age 14,12,11) had a fantastic trip to Paradise Island! Mostly in part due to the spectacular Cabbage Beach - it is so beautiful. We have travelled to many Caribbean beaches, so I have lot of comparables to work with. As for Paradise Island Beach Resort, I will start with the cons (but there are many positives here!): CONS: - This place advertises that it has wifi, but that is far from fact. While we did have a modem in our unit, our wifi literally never worked at all the entire week. Seems this is a resort wide issue after talking to other guests there. We did mention this to the staff, who did their best to assist, even called in the IT guy, but it never actually worked, ever. The staff were kind enough to provide us with the staff wifi password, however, that also rarely worked. I’m talking, maybe it worked 10 min the entire week. We ended up burning through most of our own data. Please expect this when you go. - All units are 2 bd/2bath. While spacious, like everyone else has noted, they are extremely outdated. It was a bit shocking walking in at first - like a time warp to the late 80’s I’d say. However, we didn’t go to spend the days in the unit and we quickly got used it to. The king bed though seemed too old and was not flat - causes a bit of back pain - but the beauty of the beach made it seem not so bad. I will say though that the couch in the living room and the dressers in the bedroom seem fairly new. I should note that the entire resort is quite outdated. This is a time share resort, with only 10 years remaining on it, after which it will be demolished we have been told - my guess is that they are putting the least amount of money into it for that reason which is understandable. If you go knowing this, it’s not so bad. - Other reviews and I believe the website notes that there are bikes you can take out. We had a good laugh when we realized that the only bike available is a rusty child’s BMX bike that is from the 80’s with a kick stand you can hardly put up. Don’t expect bikes. They are not there. PROS: - The units, pools, and resort in general is very very clean. - The kitchen is very well equipped. - This resort sits on an absolute amazing part of Cabbage beach. Not crowded and walking distance to Atlantis and a few restaurants. - The food and drinks available are great! - The staff are so nice and accommodating - You can change your beach towels whenever you like and they are clean and good quality - Beach chairs and umbrellas available and there is no fighting for them at all - Resort is small - only 44 units, so the place feels quaint which is what we wanted - The is gym is great! Quite large and has everything you need with good equipment. - Bedding and towels in the unit were very clean Would we stay here again? We absolutely would. For us, this beats a large all inclusive any day. And honestly, the price point reflects the fact that it is indeed outdated. If you go expecting it to be compar
