Had a wonderful experience, aside from the number of bugs. The spa was truly special! Loved it, highly recommend checking it out. Upon arrival, we were treated to a 'Welcome Pooja' (Pooja is one of Sri Lanka's highest honors for distinguished guests, combining Buddhist water offerings, lamp lighting, and flower purification rituals. It symbolizes prayers for a safe journey, a clear mind, and success in all endeavors). After settling into our room, a staff member gave us an introduction to the facilities and brought us fresh juice (Sri Lanka offers plenty of natural, additive-free juices). Our butler later delivered our luggage. We were informed about the next day's activities: a yoga session from 5:30 to 6:30 AM (not high-intensity, focused on mind-body relaxation), and a healing spa starting at 9 AM. Breakfast is from 7:30 to 10:30 AM (a minor complaint about breakfast: it was very slow! If you have a 9 AM spa appointment, it’s best to come down for breakfast by 8 AM).

I think this hotel is already well known as a supportive environment for a solo female traveller.. so quite a few mothers and daughters. It is very beautifully and carefully designed aligned with Ayurvedic principles. It is a really good deal-£78 including breakfast and two hours of treatment which include massage and facial. Everyone is really nice.

Amazing stay, I was only here one night but the team organised to have my yoga session and treatments early in the morning as well late checkout so I could enjoy all the compliments of the stay while I had the time here. The entire team - Kalaka, Gihantha, Anusha, Malaka and Mr Nimanka. Especially when I was getting scammed by my PickMe driver the team arranged to call one for me.

This place truly rejuvenates your body. It's a hotel, but it feels more like a sanctuary where you can cleanse both your body and soul. You wake up at 6 AM for yoga, followed by two and a half hours of Ayurvedic treatments daily, prescribed by a specialist. Evenings are dedicated to meditation. The therapists are excellent. I've had massages in many countries and am quite particular about therapist compatibility. While I did initially have one who wasn't a good fit, I was able to discuss it with the specialist and switch. The staff genuinely cares about our comfort. My 5-night, 6-day stay was enough to experience Ayurveda, but for actual treatment, two weeks would be necessary. I believe a month-long stay would allow for a complete cellular renewal of the body. If I were to ever develop a chronic illness or cancer, I would want to stay here for several months for serious treatment. Even to prevent chronic diseases and cancer, I feel it would be beneficial to come here regularly for a detox. Meals are therapeutic and prepared according to your dosha. Honestly, some Western guests complained about the food during my stay, but it's meant to be therapeutic. It's tailored to your dosha, eliminating foods that don't suit your body, flavored only with spices, and hardly any salt or sugar is used. Despite that, the presentation and taste are truly commendable. Over my 5-night, 6-day stay, I never had the same menu twice for any of the three daily meals. Even the fruit platters were artfully varied. Since no alcohol or coffee is served, it might not be ideal for those looking for a typical resort experience, but for anyone wanting to reset their body and mind, this is the perfect place.

The hotel is quite old, and the value for money isn't great. The 2-hour massage felt very perfunctory and half-hearted. I could feel the masseuse playing on her phone with one hand while massaging my head – that's incredibly disrespectful to guests! The airport transfer cost $26, which is ridiculously overpriced, ten times more than what ride-hailing apps charge. This whole experience was very mediocre, and it's left me quite disappointed with Sri Lanka. I won't be coming back!

The accommodation experience exceeded expectations, and the hotel even provided complimentary early morning yoga and a three-hour Ayurvedic therapy session.

I loved the hotel's location, cleanliness, quietness, and amazing service. The breakfast was excellent. The room was cozy and clean. I attended the evening meditation and morning yoga. A decent hotel—I recommend it.

They initially didn't want the child to stay, but after communicating with Ctrip, they allowed it back. The service was good.
