Riverlodge Motel

A spacious studio with kitchenette, balcony, Netflix, quiet unit out back with carpark. A little tired but good value! Recommend.

We stayed in a 1-bedroom apartment. We received excellent communication before our arrival, which made check-in extremely smooth. The apartment had everything we needed, including a well-equipped kitchen. It is very close to the centre of town (about 2 minutes) with lots of restaurants and shops within easy reach. It is also only a 15 minute drive from the airport. Highly recommended!

Good location, some problem with the roof Windows

The Riverlodge is in central Nelson - close enough to walk into town. The room was basic but very clean and as we only needed somewhere to sleep it was great. The beds were very comfortable.

Riverlodge is our preferred motel for our regular trips to Nelson. A great quiet location near the river and a pleasant walk to town. Always a friendly welcome and spotless rooms. Allowing our dog is huge bonus.

They're all about the money - to the point where they fill up rooms with Emergency Housing tenants who don't care that their kids bang and crash against the walls all night long and then get aggressive when you politely ask them to quieten down so you can try to sleep. The beds were comfy but the unit was very dirty (hairs in kitchen drawers, dirty bathroom and with obvious water damage, stuck kitchen drawers, many chipped mugs and plates and very clearly secondhand cutlery). This is not somewhere I'd recommend. Even the milk was incredibly stingy for 6 people.

Very comfortable had all the amenities provided close to the city very quiet plus was dog friendly would definitely stay there again.
