My room was very dated with worn carpet and only Luke warm hot water. Whilst clean I thought the price was expensive. Laundry was only partially functioning

We booked a 2 room cabin, the place was quiet that was nice but the place wasn't clean a dirty oven try left in the oven! Plates with crumbs on them! The bathroom fan didn't work so the cabin was super super damp, no soaps or shampoo dispensers were all empty! The bathroom and toilet door didn't close properly or quietly. The main bedroom must have a leak somewhere it rained on the last day and the carpet in the morning was super wet along the window. Couches were uncomfortable feels like it pushes you head forward and the TV had no Internet connection to watch Netflix like advertised. The place is very run down and needs a really really good clean! The accommodation was close to town and quiet. I wouldn't recommend this place spend an extra $100 and stay somewhere else

I have stayed here twice a few years ago and gave good reviews. The motel has unfortunately, gone downhill since then. Friendly enough welcome, the room was well equipped and comfortable, but there appeared to be a distinct lack of regular maintenance - and looking at other reviews, that confirms in. In the main studio room, there was only one light working, in the kitchen area, the the combined hot/cold tap was very loose - if not fixed soon, there will likely be a water leak. In the bath room, again various lights not working - the light above the mirror had 1 out of 3 bulbs working. The hot water tap in the bathroom basin came out in a dribble only - certainly not enough to wash your hands with. Outside grounds could also do with a tidy up and get things working again. Knowing what I now know about the motel, I would still be happy to stay here in the future. Plus side, quite well located, only a short walk into the CBD and loads of restaurants etc. The Centre of NZ walk can also be started from the motel, if you are used to walking. I found it quite a pleasant walk along the river, then cut through a park to the hill.

Very average. When I first arrived I asked about the laundry, the manager said the washing machine was broken and then he said the pool was not working (the pool was one reason I booked the motel). The room was clean and enough room for five people (2 bedroom unit), but the motel does need some TLC. Only real positive is the motel is close to the CBD.

Absolutely avoid. The owner should be ashamed to be operating and bringing NZ hospitality to the lowest standard I have ever experienced. We required 4 lightbulbs only to be told by management the owner has still not provided . Cracked cereal bowls, 1 saucer for 4 cups. Shower dispenser broken, shower drain broken, net curtains with big holes in them. The swimming pool was filthy not filled and the washing machine in the laundry broken. I wonder what did I actually pay for as the price was outrageous 4 nights $1050.

This is definitely not a 4 star motel - only positive is location. I think the positive reviews must relate to a previous owner/manager

Omg please this place is a joke!!! From the street it looks bad, we arrived and a skip bin is outside the office!! I spoke to the manager about reviews i had read about the place and he apologised blaming the owner, he gave me a discount which was nice and we went to our room . Door didnt shut properly, carpet worn out, smallest room ever, dirt in kitchen cupbords, copwebs on windows, stains on bed covers bathroom old and not the cleanist. Pool area not looked after and pool was green. I noticed one other room the nets were all ripped. Maybe the other rooms ate better!! We could not stay there!!! We did get our money back after going to office which was nice and left. This place dosnt deserve the stars it has.

Yes the staff were great and room was nice and clean. Just needs a few things sorting out. The free standing lamp wasnt working in the lounge. The kitchen sink tap was loose. Curtains in the bedroom were worn with holes and need replacing. Otherwise all good

The room was clean, and it was nice having our own little "house". The shower was in the spa bathtub, so there was no curtain. We didn't have a specific parking spot, but there was enough around so that wasn't an issue. The staff was great!
