My boyfriend & I, plus 10 other paying guests were all turned away by the Majestic Hotel just before the weekend began due to “a catastrophic maintenance issue.” We were all left scrambling to find other places to stay at the 11th hour, & most of us could not stay in Ocean Grove.
When we walked by the Majestic Saturday & looked inside, we saw a lot of painters. It turns out their “catastrophic maintenance issue” was just renovations!
This was a very tacky way to treat paying customers.
The employee who broke the news to me, Katie, was very nice & she returned my deposit money immediately.
No desire to return here.

It was a very nice place to stay. I went with a group of friends for a trip to Asbury. The location was perfect, very close to where we wanted to go, and right next to the beach. I love the old-fashioned decor, it made for taking awesome pictures with my friends before going out! The staff was very accommodating (even though we were a late check in). They texted me pretty early on to get all my info. There was a cute little breakfast setup too. When we got in, the TV in our room was set to a fireplace channel so it was a nice and relaxing ambiance.

This was our second stay here in 6 weeks. It's a really relaxing place with accommodating staff. And we could see the ocean from our room

The majestic is set in the perfect location to asbury, and really made it easy to explore both places! It is such a charming place with very friendly staff. Would definitely stay here again.

This place is amazing. Clean, comfortable, probably the best bed I’ve ever slept in. Feels cozy and safe. Staff is super friendly- it’s like having a laid back conversation with good friends. Love it!

The hospitality was exceptional. The location was wonderful. Our room was not quite as lovely as the professional photos promised. That was a little disappointing, but the overall experience of staying at the Majestic was very good. We would do it again! :~)
