A 2 night stay was most enjoyable. Our room was warm & well appointed. Breakfast was brilliant & actually surpassed our higher priced stay elsewhere. The evening meals were equally good & incredibly good value. Nice wines at a nice price too. All the staff were very friendly. Emily & Hannah were exceptional. This privately owned hotel deserves every success.

Stayed with friends for two nights in this charming Hotel. Lovely hotel made all the more special by the exceptional service of Emily and Evie. However all the staff we met were very friendly. Rooms comfortable with good facilities. Great location for walking the Quantocks.

We are two couples who have just stayed two nights in this lovely charming small hotel during a walking trip around the Quantocks. From the moment we arrived we felt at home and very comfortable, made more so by the lovely attentive staff, Emily and Evie, for which nothing was too much trouble and everything delivered in a professional/calm manner, complete with smiles. Breakfasts and our one dinner there were excellent and accommodation good, especially the bathrooms (great showers) - and lovely hotel staff who keep everything so clean. Some nice little extras which were a pleasant surprise and contributed to the warmth and ambience of this castle of 'comfort' ! Good car parking but busy road at times so would not advise starting walks from hotel as there are free woodland car parks nearby.

It was a fabulous night.
We arrived a little late but the host said not to worry, they would keep the kitchen open - and the food was great.
the view from our window of the sheep in the field was beautiful - and the grounds were very nice.
The staff was exceptional at everything they did. We felt like family
