Hotels Near Moorbach Wiedwanderweg in Neuwied

Many positive things have already been said about this accommodation and we were generally enthusiastic about it as well. We were here in December and had two different rooms: one room on the ground floor with a very spacious (fairly new) bathroom and a smaller room on the first floor with a relatively old bathroom. The rooms are ok, but certainly not fantastic: quite dated and the water in the shower on the 1st floor did not drain properly. The mattresses were on the soft side. Early in the morning (if we remember correctly already at 6 o'clock!) the church bells started ringing and this is very noticeable if you sleep with the windows open. Perhaps something to bear in mind if you plan to come to this place in the summer, as there is obviously no air conditioning in the rooms. The location of the abbey/hotel is on the edge of (actually outside) Bendorf and is absolutely fantastic: quietly situated between the trees and hills and therefore a good starting point for various walks. In combination with the snow, this really felt like a fairy-tale. The breakfast room is also the check-in area and restaurant, a 5 / 10-minute walk from the abbey. The breakfast is luxurious and extensive and it is possible to order additional items such as extra bread or tea/coffee. We also had dinner here in the evening and the food was just as good. All in all: reasonable rooms, but above all a fantastic location with good breakfast and evening meals.

Interestingly styled hotel, beautifully situated on the Moselle. Spacious rooms. Service on the terrace/beer garden not available. Pure self-service at the often overcrowded kiosk. If you speak to service staff, the answer comes that you have to help yourself either at the bar in the hotel or at the kiosk mentioned. Breakfast is only available from 0700, although the staff on the previous evening said 0630 when asked several times. Then it just fails. Too bad and very ugly.

Goed hotel voor de prijs. Schoonmaak kan iets beter; het ziet er allemaal schoon uit maar in de hoeken en kieren (bijv. onder de schuifdeur in de badkamer) zat nog stof. Bed lag goed, kamer is klein maar zeer praktisch ingericht. Badkamer is ruim en modern, maar het toilet zit voor mijn gevoel op een vreemde plek. Geen gebruik gemaakt van het ontbijt, in de stad zelf zijn ook voldoende opties. Zeer vriendelijke man achter de receptie, dat mag wel even vermeld worden.
