Northern Queen Inn

Nice and quaint. Quiet. Clean and comfortable.

We were referred here by the Great Western since they own the property. Its address is Nevada City and it's slightly off the freeway on a quiet street. It's surprisingly large, in a lovely woodland setting with many trees and there is a wonderful waterfall and stream! The rooms are basic, but clean and comfortable - and at a much better price than Great Western. In the morning, they offer coffee and pastry. We will come back here. Needing Improvement: The registration office is not in the motel. It's in an odd building across the parking lot hat used to be a gift shop. There are few signs, and we were told that many people complain about not being able to find it. (How much do signs cost?) We had to ask someone where it was. They also have a restaurant on the property if you are interested in a dinner for $50.00 and up. We went to Lumberjack.

This property is very dirty and unsanitary. Most of the furniture in the rooms is stained and smells of urine. Most of the blinds are broken in the rooms and do not work correctly. This hotel needs a total remodel. I really don’t recommend staying here unless you want to sleep in a room that smells like urine and has questionable, stains all over the furniture and walls and carpet. Beware!

This place is terrible, the room smelt of mold, people could easily see in through the blinds, the shower had brown water coming. I overheard another guest complaining as well.

The staff went above and beyond to ensure I was comfortable. I will definitely return.

Right lights outside window, noisy old heater, uncomfortable bed, but beautiful place

The property was nice and quiet and the staff were helpful and polite. I would stay there again.

Perfect location to walk to Broad Street in Nevada City. Cute little establishment. Clean rooms, comfy bed, big TV.

The cottage was spacious ,but a lot dated and a little musty. I would likely stay here again as the price was reasonable. The heater was barely adequate as it took awhile to heat the place up, but after that it was comfortable.
