The owner of the property was so friendly and welcoming. She gave us plenty of pointers for shopping/food/hiking to make the most out of our time there. Pet friendly, the owner even provides a food bowl and treats for the furry friends! Definitely worth a visit!

This is our second visit to the Outside Inn. It's very cute. The owners are friendly and helpful. Room 6 worked out for me as a wheelchair user, but it required moving the very heavy bed. As you will see in the photos I am posting, it's possible to get a wheelchair under the bathroom counter. There is one grab bar in by the bathtub and one by the toilet. I found the bed to be comfortable. There are plenty of pillows. There's also a pull-out couch. There's as kitchenette with a cooktop, microwave, mini fridge, and plates, pots, silverware, etc. There are picnic tables and a small pool. The location is near downtown Nevada City, which has lots of restaurants and shops. We plan to stay here whenever we're in town. : )

On our way back from Truckee, we only stayed one night but enjoyed our cabin room very much! It was clean and close to town. The bed was super comfortable and it was great to have a well stocked kitchenette so we could have a relaxing breakfast. We will definitely be back! Nevada City is a super town.

Cute little place, very convenient to downtown, darling neighborhood. Stayed in the River Room is was okay. A little musty smell. Hosts were very nice but I was told I would get a text with my code when check in was available to access the door...I did not, had to go to the front desk. I asked at check out for a receipt and was told I would get an email, two days later still have not :-( Sent a text, will call next.

We love this place! Set by a tiny stream in their pretty garden, it's a short walk to lovely downtown Nevada City, The Outside Inn is quiet and comfortable, as well as being charming and welcoming. Each room has its own personal charm and decor, and they are clean and bright. The owners are super friendly and welcoming too. We love staying here and return each year.

We stayed in the cottage. It was a nice size unit and very comfortable. Great walkable proximity to downtown. Loved the small creek running behind our unit. Low ceilings in the kitchen and entry but that’s what made it unique and memorable. We would definitely stay here again.
