Hotel de Hocks Deluxe - New Delhi

We can from England and stayed on night before heading to the punjab. The hotel it's self was very clean and stocked with toiletries, there was a lovely lady on reception who spoke very good English which really helped for booking in and asking questions about the local area. We arrived in a taxi, a young *** came and helped us with out luggage. We were booked in quickly and efficiently. The room was clean and warm with all of the toiletries you would expect at a hotel, we didn't eat here but there was a menu with ***y choices. It was a huge culture shock coming from England but I am very pleased that I stayed here on my first visit to India. We walked around the streets up all of the local roads and streets and we were not bothered by anybody. This area has ***y very poor people at a level that we don't see at home. It was humbling and an education to see it first hand. The people of Delhi are lovely, polite and very helpful. I would go back to this hotel again.

The owner told me a different price over the call and when I reached the hotel they told me different price. The owner informed me the price we spoke is for another property which took me 10 mins walk through dirty alley with all my luggage and after reaching the property it was so dirty. Wasted my time and I was so tired from my journey
