The Lodhi – A Member of the Leading Hotels of the World

Overall a very poor experience and nothing like a 5 star hotel should be, unless you don’t have experience with 5 star hotels. The room we booked (signature terrace) was in a section of the hotel where renovation was clearly happening. It was 19:00 when we checked in and could hear loud hammering and the room reeked of paint and construction chemicals. We asked to be moved and they just put us in a room directly below where we had the same hammering and smell. We asked to just be in a different section of this very large hotel, but they just moved us once again one room directly below. We finally gave up from being so exhausted and having dinner reservations. We took a shower, and the shower drain was clogged and water leaked out onto the floor. When we came back, the bathroom smelled like raw sewage. We finally had enough and insisted we be moved to a different section of the hotel and they finally did, but to a much smaller room than we booked with no tub. We stayed there because it was quiet and didn’t smell like paint and sewage. The front desk reception is completely clueless about hospitality. It was completely inappropriate they checked us into a room in that condition, refused to come up with a solution, and then moved us to a downgraded room, because we didn’t want to hear construction late at night and have sewage come through the shower. They were rude about the situation and did not care at all. This is what I would expect at a $10 a night hostel, not a hotel that claims to be a 5 star luxury experience. On top of that, the day we checked out we didn’t have a flight until the evening, and they said they could hold our bags for the day in storage. After leaving for 5+ hours, we see our bags outside by the entrance. They had been left there all day outside, and I was told it was just a “miscommunication” between staff. I don’t know how no one would notice this, but that’s little the staff cares and how untrained they are. Overall, it was a very stressful stay. I had also stayed at the nearby Oberoi at the start of my trip and had a much better experience. Don’t bother with the Lodhi.

We went to the lodhi for celebrating my husbands birthday with our 5 months old baby. We booked the room with access to private plunge pool and introduced our baby to the pool which he enjoyed thoroughly. The staff was very courteous and the breakfast at their in house restaurant elan was delicious. The overall experience was very luxurious with things like soft toy for the baby during check in, chocolates in the room, birthday cake, decoration with candles, balloons and fresh flowers by the pool complimentary. The property was super clean and well maintained.

Most amazing stay, the staff were so hospitable and thoughtful. Can’t wait to come back. Great location and amenities. No detail was too small everything was considered and at the best possible standard. From airport pick up, most comfortable rooms, food, spa and personalized tours all was prepared with ease. We recently used this hotel as a home base in Delhi and came away super impressed. First the location is great. As everyone knows Delhi traffic is terrible and being central made this trip easier to navigate with 3 kids. We booked a garden suite and the hotel was super accommodating. They added the needed roll aways for our kids and the room was well appointed. We hosted a small luncheon for family and friends one day and they set up the table and food with very short notice and flawlessly. Our housekeeper was also excellent. We ate breakfast daily and a couple lunches at the hotel and found the food to be high quality and excellent. Breakfast was incredible with both a nice buffet and endless a la carte options. The pastries were amazing. Lunch was also excellent in terms of quality. It was super hot so we utilized the pool and gym a lot and the staff was excellent. Finally the service was amazing. The staff learned my kids names and went above and beyond to make our stay. We actually came back for 2 days after traveling and my kids were looking forward to it a lot. They even added some special touches to welcome us back. Overall i highly recommend.

Best service ever. The room amenities were nicely done, spacious, great decor. The staff were attentive and went out of their way to ensure that we were comfortable. Food was delicious, with a huge variety of options. Nothing was too much trouble.

Once upon a time Lodhi generate the luxury before but now Lodhi it’s become same like others hotel where satisfaction words are not their , Elan restaurant service was good until saeed was their and one of the most genuine and active at the restaurant but now a days nobody cares about customer satisfaction and from last 2 months I visited 3 to 5 and it’s feels it’s become very cheap .
