I recently had an extremely distressing experience during my stay at The Grand Uddhav in Delhi, India. Unfortunately, I had both my laptop and some cash stolen from my room. The only individuals seen on CCTV entering my room were the hall boy and cleaner, which clearly points to an internal theft issue. The hotel management's response was incredibly disappointing. It took them an entire day to contact the police. To make matters worse, they informed us that if we filed a theft report, we would be required to stay in the country until the case was resolved, which could take several weeks. This seemed like a tactic to dissuade us from reporting the incident. This lack of urgency and support from the hotel management left us feeling unsafe and mistrustful of the staff. Given the severity of the situation and the hotel's poor handling of it, I cannot recommend The Grand Uddhav to anyone. Travelers deserve to feel secure and supported by the establishments they choose to stay with, and sadly, this was not the case here. Please be cautious if you decide to stay at this hotel, and ensure you keep your valuables secure at all times. Date of Stay: April 2024
