There were only me and my family in the camp because there were not many tourists in winter, and the hotel had a large beach!

Kleiner Campingplatz mit unterschiedlichen Zimmer bzw. Stellplatzkategorien. Wir hatten ein Cottage mit Kochnische und Bad. Super sauber, voll ausgestattet. Schon etwas älter, aber alles in Tadellosem Zustand. Die Lage ist phänomenal. Nur ein paar Schritte zur Surat Bay, in der man fast jederzeit Seelöwen zu sehen bekommt! Wir würden in Catlins Haven wieder hier übernachten.

Catlins Newhaven holiday Parks was excellent. The owners were very helpful and friendly. We initially put a tent up in a powered site, on the point, with a view over the water. The owners, caringly did not place a camper van next to us during our stay. The beach was a five minute walk and plenty of sealions in evidence. The facilities were clean and well maintained. The last night we moved into a self contained tourist flat which was excellent, a great nights sleep on a very comfortable mattress! A supermarket and cafes were about 5 minutes away and the camp location was in an excellent location to explore the Catlins. A point of interest Surat Bay was named after the ship Surat which was wrecked there, excellent beach walks! Thank you to Grant and Deborah for a wonderful holiday stay.

Beautiful spot, a little off the beaten track, clean and tidy and basic. The perfect Kiwi campsite! The facilities are very clean and have all you could need, and the place is small and has a lovely, friendly vibe. Owners are super helpful and approachable. We saw lots of sea lions, both in and out of the water, on our long walk along the pristine, beautiful sand beach. Very eco conscious place too, which we really liked.

What a special place, one of the most beautiful beaches is right behind the property and my cabin was super cozy. Lounge, kitchen, and bathrooms were very neat and comfortable. Absolutely loved it here!

Nice spot for staying near the Catlins... Owners were terrific, place was fun and comfortable, Shared kitchen was just a little on the small side for the number of folks trying to use it, but we cooperated and managed! Walks on the beach were great, saw sea lions!

We had a wonderful time in a very complete cabin. We could cook because of a good d fridge and cooking tools. The owner reacted adequately when another guest tried to claim our cabin., very late in the evening. And we saw 4 sea lions on the beach. We can recommendate this accommodation.
