I don’t normally waste my time leaving reviews….. but boy oh boy. Not sure what was going on this weekend but cleaning was not on the table.
As I approached my room, I was greeted with left overs and trash by my room door. I was simply leaving my stuff and running out the door to a concert. Little did I know this was a little preview.
I came back around 1 AM, and got into my room. My gf, let me know there was a clump of hair in the shower. I told her that’s odd cause there was trash outside during check in. This then prompted me to look at the bed. Found stains on the sheets and realized they had given us 3 pillows lol.
My gf later discovered a giant stain on the lamp. That’s when I decided it’s too late at night for this and said a review will hopefully sold my issue….
PS: my friend and her sister stayed in another room and found hair and leaves in the shower as well!
For a hotel that’s used by possibly guest of people at the local hospital or Yale University….. I would have thought maybe they’d focus on cleaning.

The hotel has a lovely exterior with flowers and greenery, and the lobby is also beautiful. However, the service was quite disappointing. We ran out of shampoo and shower gel. After calling the front desk to request more, it took them ages to deliver, so I eventually had to go down myself to retrieve them.

The hotel is excellent. The room's decor and layout are fantastic. In the evenings, there's a live band performing in the lobby. And you absolutely *must* try their freshly-made desserts and snacks – they're superb!

This hotel offers fantastic value for money. The only minor downside is its distance from the train station, but everything else was excellent and definitely exceeded my expectations. It's only a little over a 20-minute walk to Yale.

Service: The front desk staff were incredibly rude and self-important. What started as a simple inquiry quickly escalated into an argument. A large number of guests were Black.
Facilities: The parking payment system was very complicated and unattended. When issues arose, there was no one available to assist.
