The Iris Motel

These guys are scam artists. First they tried to tell me they had no rooms available and not refund me my already booked $180 reservation. Then they got aggressive with me and claimed my name didn't match the name on my booking, then when I threatend to send ******* my passport photo, they demanded a $50 incidental before I could check in. After I checked out, they picked through the garbage can to find loose tobacco that I roll, take photos of it, and then claim I smoked in the room. I was charged another $300. That's $480 for a roach motel room. He knew I didn't smoke in the room. Relished telling me he looked forward to reading this copmlaint. THESE GUYS ARE NOT TO BE TRUSTED. cHECK THERE BBB REVIEWS AS WELL. THEY LOVE TO SCAM PEOPLE.

Before you drop money on this 'motel', drive by the location. Nothing says 'safe' like a Normandy-style bunker for an office that they don't actually staff. Lousy neighborhood. Lousy phone-only contact with the management. Countless false reviews out there.

It is what is is and it does not propose to be a 5-star hotel. That being said it was ideal for my purposes on this particular trip. I wasn’t looking for a gym or a pool or complimentary breakfast. The room was safe and super clean-I was delighted there was a fridge, coffee maker , hair dryer, full bath with toiletries and excellent shower pressure, flat screen tv with remote and seriously the MOST COMFORTABLE BED I have ever slept in-bar none!! It was a good hike into Central Business District but really no complaints for the price-next time I stay there I sill rent a car because the parking is complimentary:-)
