The Westin New Orleans

Enjoyed our stay! The burger in the observatory lounge was exceptionally yummy!

The hotel out dated, in case you need to get your car from the valet, no chairs provided to wait and chairs inside most properly equipped with people.

Excellent service

Westin mistakenly checked us out in their computer Two hours after we checked in, and checked in two women into our room. They came back to registration to report that we had already checked into the room. Attendants were polite but had no idea what happened. An hour later we got new keys and got back into our room. Bummer!

Hotel need more good service at dining. No manner at the table except the waitress. She was very friendly but the rest need improved Food was terrible. I won’t recommend to eat at the hotel. Thank you

We stayed here as part of a Viking cruise land extension. Viking puts all guests from the Viking Mississippi in this hotel for 2 nights either before or after the cruise. We finished our cruise and were taken on a tour of New Orleans. We arrived at the hotel in the early afternoon. Checkin lines were long. We were told that our room was not ready. They would call us. Meanwhile Viking guests had a hospitality room with food for their guests. We waited more than 2 hours. Still no call. It seemed odd since there had been Viking guests departing. Wouldn’t those rooms be ready? Finally got a room. It was missing towels. Went down hall and found a maid. She wouldn’t give me towels. It was after 5 when we finally got towels. Next day, when they made up the room, they left one bath towels and a bathmat. Again, we had to request towels. The room was dimly lit. We had to search to find electrical outlet near the bed for a cpap. We were told that they would deliver an extension cord. That never came. Room was not sound proof. We were on the 25th floor and could hear music from the festival. In addition, no wake up call needed. The train passes and blows the horn. We thought that we would eat dinner in the hotel restaurant. Sorry. It is only open for breakfast. The bar serves light snacks. There are lots of places to eat nearby. That was fortunate since the streets were blocked off for the festival. Sometimes Viking tour bus couldn’t get us back to the hotel.
