I don’t normally do this kind of thing but I want to warn the public of the absolutely atrocious service we received at this hotel. Checked into my room and noticed it was hot. It was at 75 degrees. It was already set to 64 degrees but AC unit was not working at all. I went down to the front desk 3 different times to get some help, and was told each time they would send someone but nobody ever came. I found it hysterical when at MIDNIGHT they wouldn't give me another room or fans to help accommodate, but rather they said they would send an engineer AGAIN (who, by the way, never showed up). My sleep that night was restless and sweaty, as the temperature in the room got up to 78 degrees. I wake up the next morning to shower only for my lady to tell me that the shower was ICE COLD. Sure enough went into the bathroom and there was zero hot water. At checkout I kindly alerted the front desk that I needed to speak to manager. I am a customer service manager myself, so I'm always patient and kind towards people in my same occupation. Not this time though. We had to wait in the lobby for over an HOUR AND A HALF because Tiffany was "in a meeting". During this time, I had to cancel a tour we had scheduled due to the manager's inability to deal with our situation. Tried to call the hotel almost 3 hours later and was forwarded to Tiffany's office where I went straight to voicemail. I finally received a call back at 4 pm that afternoon. That means she was unable to deal with a very unpleased guest for 5 hours. Granted Sundays are the busiest days for the leisure market for hotels, I find it hard to believe that the manager would be unable to come to the front of house for an hour and a half, let alone not be able to deal with a situation for 5 hours. While on the phone with me, I received an attitude from Tiffany and didn't even receive an apology for the delay. She claimed it would be HER manager who would have to issue the refund and that I would hear back from her the next day, which I never did. I don't get to escape and go on trips often, so thank you Hilton for ruining this one. Funny thing is last time I stayed in New Orleans, the same exact thing happened to me at the Sonesta hotel a couple of blocks over, and they handled it immediately by giving me a new room. I would take my money there rather than this excuse for a Hilton if I were you. Is this really how you treat your customers Hilton? Not just the manager, but the entire front desk staff continually blew us off and did not take our situation seriously or even offer any kind of accommodation. I've stayed at Hilton many times, but have also stayed at Marriots, Best Westerns, even Motel 6s and have never seen worse customer service. It's truly a shame that you lost a valued customer over something that could’ve been handled within 5 minutes. I will not be back to this Hilton, and possibly another Hilton again. What was supposed to be a fun weekend trip to New Orleans was ruined by a staff a
