Hampton Inn & Suites New Orleans Downtown (French Quarter Area)

The room was enormous! I was sharing with my parents and the 2 Queen room was so spacious, it met our needs perfectly. The location was ideal, close enough to Bourbon Street for it to be easily accessible, far enough to not be disturbed by it. Valet parking was a little slow on arrival, however, there rest of the time the service was prompt.

Great breakfast, convenience and quiet

We arrived after a 12 hour journey to be checked in at 3 pm. The room was not ready. After a wait we checked in and the first thing I wanted to do was to wash hands and face. We found the wash basin was choked and the water would not drain. Called the front desk and they sent a repair man. He tried to fix the problem and should couldn't get the water to drain. After repeated calls and visits to the front desk they finally changed the room. In the new room we found the bath tub drain is choked. Also in the fridge we found takeaway food lying rotting. Complained to the front desk and was told to talk to the manager in the morning at 7 am. Now, will see what happens tomorrow and in any case we are checking out in the morning. Not a good start to our vacation ... !!

Comfy everything! So close to the quarter. The breakfast alone makes this place a great place!!

Nigh**are! Do not stay at this hotel! Negligent Hilton / Hampton management. Our rental car was stolen while valet parked at this Hampton Inn New Orleans downtown French Quarter area between 4/19/24 and 4/21/24. Absolute nigh**are experience at this hotel! We stayed 3 nights here and we will regret it forever. We are Hilton Honors Diamond members travel regularly for business & leisure, we have valet parked vehicles hundreds of times. We have never been treated this badly as customers by any hotel’s management. Hilton should be ashamed and people should realize what can happen to you at one of their properties. This hotel has denied all responsibility and treated us like criminals since they realized their fault. Do not stay here if you value your safety! Hilton corporate will do nothing for you if you are injured as a result of their employee negligence. We have lost thousands because of this and discovered Hilton will absolutely not help their customers if something bad happens. They passed us off to an insurance company that is denying responsibility and does not know the law. The Hampton Inn New Orleans does not understand the law pertaining to bailment when valet parking your vehicle, and they clearly do not value loyal HHonors members or customers in general.

My wife felt unsafe walking to canal street .Front desk couldn’t care about guests.Had to fight with them to clean my room .They only clean rooms every other day. Rooms were old and dirty. I left and went to the Doubletree, which is fantastic.
