My husband and I stayed here while visiting New Orleans. The location wasn’t bad at all for not staying directly in the French Quarter - it was about a 15 minute walk if we wanted to walk there ourselves or a really short and cheap Uber ride. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is for two reasons. 1. If you check in before 12pm, they charge you $25, even if they already have your room ready. We checked in at 11:30am and had to pay this fee. I understand policy and all that but I just thought it was odd if our room was already ready anyways, having to pay… 2. The walls are really thin, and there was a slight gap under our door, allowing light and noise to come in from the hallways. I don’t think this would have been too bad, but where our room happened to be located it was just around the corner from the elevators so anytime anyone came out of the elevators they had to pass by our room. There were quite a few loud groups of folks coming in at all hours of the night obviously being in New Orleans so this was a bit difficult. Other than that though, we had a great stay here.

Not your typical tourist or corporate hotel. Very quirky (in a good way). Excellent location 10 mins from the French Quarter. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Breakfast is good - I can recommend the homemade granola - if a little pricey. A couple of little *******; we had to ask for a second bath towel, and the rooms only get made up every other day. Otherwise excellent and a lot of fun.

The property is really cute and unique, but the lighting in the rooms isn’t the best and the tv is difficult to work. The staff is very nice and accommodating. Great location.

Interesting hotel close to the centre and the river. Clean room but no outlook - Breakfast good but limited choice and mediocre service. Felt let down by reception, they said they would organise a taxi to the airport but didn't. There was no one on reception for at least 30 minutes when we did leave. Fortunately a helpful member of staff did turn up and got a taxi for us. We sent them two messages about this using their website after we left but did not get a reply.

Very cool lobby and restaurant with a fun art gallery in a great location, easy walk to the French quarter and other great dining/entertainment options. Was surprised no housekeeping was provided during our 3 night stay (if you needed to request it we were not informed of this upon check-in). The fridge in the room was locked so we couldn’t store any leftovers and the front desk ran out of keys to open it! Was creeped out to read online about the ******* room on our floor but luckily we didn’t have any paranormal experiences. The TV had some weird connectivity issues but we chalked this up to a bandwidth problem. They offered free bikes for exploring the neighborhood too which was cool, though we didn’t use them. Overall a nice enough stay but we probably won’t be back.

I was here for six nights, and had a good stay. This is not a cookie-cutter hotel--some of the rooms can be quirky (i.e., no windows, and apparently some are noisy, but that wasn't my experience), and you need to approach it with that knowledge. If you want everything predictable, there are plenty of Marriotts and Sheratons nearby in this excellent location. I found the staff to be attentive and helpful (especially Victoria), even during an extremelly busy time (Jazz Fest). If you want your room cleaned every day, I'm sure you can get that if you ask. Otherwise, housekeeping will come every two days or so. The hotel is attached to a superb restaurant (one of New Orleans' "name" restaurants), which is an added plus. There's also a small but adequate fitness center (has a wide range of free weights and a few machinges). If you study the website, which is candid about the types of rooms, you can tell if the hotel is for you. It checked all my boxes, and I would stay here again.
